yikes....people have to learn to drive for conditions. The speed limit is based on ideal weather conditions and a dry surface. Slow down.
In fairness, the QE2 is one of Canada's busiest highways - something like 44,000 vehicles use it everyday, and all it takes is one guy hitting his brakes (for whatever reason) and you've got the makings of a major accident.

Actually, given the huge numbers of people on this road all year long, day after day, year after year, if they were as bad as you think, this would happen all the time, not once every 5-10 years!
