I think one vote went missing, but I think it hardly matters.

The chances are that vote would also have been in favour of remaining British.

Apparently there were three votes against the UK.

Truth be told, one of them was near-blind and crossed the wrong box, one was pissed drunk, and the third was a nice old lady who lives on the outskirts of Port Stanley, she was concerned a unanimous pro-UK vote would hurt the poor Argies feelings.

That latter observation is probably spot-on. It would look odd were such a vote unanimous and it would not surprise me if the local leaders didn't ask a few people to vote against the majority just to prevent questions of vote rigging by the Argies.
