One of them he sure did. The one with the F-102 alert aircraft with nuclear missiles aboard? Yeah, sorry, chumley, but the pilots did not EVER have discretionary authority to use those weapons. They didn't even have the arming codes with them.

On their own authority all those pilots could have done with those missiles is to drop them in the sea. Absent the arming codes all those missiles could ever do is to generate drag.

Please point out where I said the west was the only bad one. I have never stated it was, instead I stated both sides were bad. Don't try to jumble everyone that decides the west has done wrong into the anti-west bloc, it's just pitiful.

If nobody dies on your side it becomes a hell of a lot easier to start more wars, wars in which the casualties can also be civilians, and people that were trying to defend their country. Keeping casualties on both sides means that a country won't jump to war every time before diplomacy is exhausted, casualties make it so you better be damned sure it is worth fighting. Remove them and suddenly it doesn't matter if you are damned sure because all you are losing is a bit of cash while civilians and the soldiers of the other country are killed because the system is now "fuck diplomacy, war is cheaper".
