If the teabaggers were just against furrther gov't incursions, thenI'd have a lot more sympathy for them. But the evidence I've seen is that its more of what we'd call in Canada a Christain Heritage party. I think they're main motivation is more God, not less government.

Maybe Bart is right and they have been portrayed unfairly as loony-righties by a very unsympathetic media.

But this O'Donnell chick and her obvious Christian fundy stuff isn't reversing the trend of the teabaggers and Republicans looking like far right-wing bible-thumpers.

The 'thou shalt not wank' stuff is just never a good platform for power.

I think it is more than that, they are quite open to big Government when it comes to what they want. My biggest conern is that these folks don't really know what they are doing (I'm being kind).
