BartSimpson BartSimpson:
The last peace plan that made it close to signatures was back when Clinton was President and Arafat was still alive. In that plan the PLO got 95% of what they wanted and they said no.

So what plan is this that you're talking about because it's news to me.

There was also Bush, in the post-Arafat years..

Bush says Middle East peace talks have yielded progress
$1:
President George W. Bush, poised to finish his presidency without the Middle East peace deal he once said was in reach, declared Friday that Israelis and Palestinians have made great strides toward settling decades of conflict.

...

For his part, Abbas was effusive about Bush's efforts. He said the U.S. president was fair and firm in pushing both sides to meet their obligations.

"There is no doubt that we will always remember the efforts that you have undertook to promote the peace process," Abbas said.

He also reaffirmed the Palestinian commitment to the peace talks, and not as a slogan or a rhetorical commitment. We are practically committed to the peace process. And we are confident all these efforts will be transferred to the new administration.

He was referring to Democrat Barack Obama, who succeeds Bush on Jan. 20.

Bush: Expansion of settlements hindering peace talks
$1:
US President George W. Bush on Thursday called Israeli settlement expansion an "impediment" to the success of revived peace efforts and urged the Jewish state to follow through on its pledge to dismantle unauthorized settler outposts.

Not much has changed though.

Yep, same shit about the ‘peace process’ I’ve heard since I was a kid.

They continue to hate each other and Israel remains a state because it can kick all the Arabs arse.

The Yanks prop it up and I'll go along with that as long as the Arabs remain despotic type states.

Once they get with the program, Israel's foreign policy will need to change from F16 strikes to talking to their neighbours.

What are they doing besides asking for an end to settlements? The yanks offered them 3 billion dollars worth of fighter jets to commit to that. Israel still said no.

When I was attending University here in Québec in the early 70's, there was a Jew and Palestinian student who were very good friends. I remember long discussions at the time about the situation there. Both were in agreement that the only way to settle things was to clear everybody out and start over again.

In other words, there was no way to fix things.

He'll be right back once he consults wikipedia.

And here we have the answer from someone pulling camel shit out of his ass.

Look it up. Its all there, been there for years now.

Bart is right. The Palestinian authourity blew it back in Clintons time for a shot at peace.

But it's never really been about peace with Israel has it.

Image And thats all about that you can do mate, Yap and pretend to look you have something inteligent to say but all you can do is jump on other peoples coat tails. Yeah your right, Yeah I agree with you. The best you have been able to come up with you own personal rethoric of I can see you true colours now bla bla oh no wait, even that was'nt orginal. That was orginal said by my personal bitter grinch brock :D

And what you broke google again ? look it up yourself.

Here I'll throw you a bone
Its called the Arab Peace Initiative of 2002 drafted everyone has agrred to it from the US to Hamas except Israel. Israel has yet to official respond to this.

Israel wants peace yeah right, a handsome bribe 3 billion dollar to stop building for 90 days so atleast talks could carry on was rejected.

Israel wants peace as long as it allowed to keep stealing more land and keep the land it has already stolen and annexed.

Wait I'll do better than throw you a bone

So as long as Israel surrenders everything it gained after the being repeatedly attacked by it's neighbours, it's all good. ROTFL

Israels neighbours rolled the dice trying to destroy them and proceeded to get severely bitch-slapped for their efforts, losing ground in their efforts. Sorry, they had a chance back in the day and blew it. It isn't about peace and you pretending it is, is just sad.

Hamas is deeply divided about this plan with most factions rejecting it.

I don't know how well a plan would go through if Hamas is not on board. :?

Well currently doesn't matter at all, because Israel is not on board. The whole world can be with it ( Almost is ) but until Israel isn't its pointless.

And the intentions for peace were clear by the Israeli actions during the failed talks recently. Like I said both sides are pricks but Israel by far is the Mt Everest of pricks.

Not true Mt Everest is female.

Both sides have balls but the pricks always stays limp. Maybe we should drench the area with liquid Viagra.

Neither side wants it. Step back, pull out the shades and a bag of popcorn and watch the region turn itself into a glass bowl.

Why should we care?

No, the trouble is there are too many walking around with woodies for conflict, and that's robbing their brains of much needed blood. The Hamas terrorists and militant settlers are the ones causing the problems. Anyone who has a clue about Israel and Israeli society, knows most Israelis want to cut the settlers free and be done with them, as they cause trouble in contemporary Israel as well. Historical Judea is a thing of the past.
