No, I spent time in various bits of India and a few trips to Colombo. And quite a bit of time in Katmandu or Katters as we chaps call it.

I had a few BD mates in the UK but never had the opportunity to get over there. BD guys are pretty cool though. None of this Pak bollocks with those guys. Direct and down to earth.

My Avatar came in long after in joined up. Trust me there was no message I was trying to send through it, just thought it was funny. I dont mind the poking fun at bush and US policies part bit but really don't intend to poke fun at Americans. So I'll be changing that incase people do think that way

OH and thanks for your comments on my englitch.

Dude if you were happy with your avatar, then keep it. You would be hard pressed to find 10 Americans out of 300 million who give a rats ass about GWB. The left hates him,and we rightwingers don't care to much for him either. Its the dems fault that he served 8 years in office. What were we going to do? Were we going to elect a far left spend thrift anti-war liberal from Mass. to run the country in the middle of a war? I don't think so.The dems could have nominated Howdy Doody and won.But no,they wanted John Kerry.A man that the majority of his old swift boat veterans claim is a charlaten and a fraud. We had to choose between tweedeldee and tweedledumb. We chose tweedeldumb.

Its a free forum. Don't worry about offending us Americans. No one has thicker skins than us.We have heard and seen it all before.GWB is history, you may as well be making fun of Millard Fillmore for all we care.Stick to your guns.

If they're so bent on being ecumenical, let them invite infidels to one of their mosques as a start.

They did. That mosque had religious tolerance even when it was taken over, hence on the article they had Christian worshipers along with Muslims. History is your friend. If not, don't bother trying.

Visigoths were weak pieces of crap. Blame them.

P.S - As a historian, I take a neutral ground here but I agree that they shouldn't be allowed to warship, it would be a slap in the face of Spaniards who fought hard in which the piece of shit Byzantines couldn't do.

You're doing what the Muslims do - bring up the past to justify the present. If the Muslims are really reaching out, let them invite the Christians to one of their current mosques. If you want to make peace, do you march to the other person's house and demand to be let in, get violent if you don't, or do you invite them to your place in a friendly way? Maybe they'll reciprocate.

I dunno how relevant this is but here regular tours are conducted into mosques where anyone can come. I myself have taken German Jewish tourists to these. There are also other programs where you can join an interfaith discussion inside a mosque and during Ramadan certain local families welcome non muslim residents or tourists to iftar at home.

I believe you can tour the Vatican and they don't check to see if you're catholic.

These guys want to pray to Allah in a Christian church. But if Muslims won't allow Christians to pray to the Christian God in their mosques, they shouldn't expect Christians to do the same for them.

Heck, even the Buddhists wouldn't like it. If we were sitting meditating, or a teacher was giving a talk on Buddhism, if a bunch of â ilâha illallâh, Muḥammadur rasûlullâh types showed up people wouldn't be too happy. Unless, again, it was some sort of interfaith thing, in which case the Muslims could always hold it at their place if they're really interested in ecumenicism.

Your answer is, ape the behaviour you dislike? How status quo and socially backwards of you.

One cannot demand tolerance without displaying it. I don't support the concept of the Muslims moving in and taking over, but if the Christians and Muslims can share a building that has been both a church and a mosque, what a coup in displaying the religious tolerance that both claim.

If Christian, Jews and Muslims are pray together under one roof I think
that would be superlative. Then people can talk and understand each other.
