As someone with a female in the family who was horribly harassed and bullied by a supervisor, to the point of actually being diagnosed with acute PTSD from it, I think I can say on her behalf that open-door meetings are vastly in the best interest of women in the workplace as much as it is for males.

BeaverFever BeaverFever:
So your male employees can have closed door meetings with you but not your female employees, and yet you claim women aren’t placed at a disadvantage in the workplace?

You're exactly right and this is going to be the exact result of all of this.

No one with any sense will have a closed door, one-on-one meeting with anyone subordinate to them or anyone of another gender.

Tricks Tricks:
If sexually assaulting women is "being a man of their times" your entire generation should be ashamed of themselves.

No, not at all. They simply need to change with the times is all.

I say that because some day some little fuck is going to condemn YOU for doing something that right now is accepted as perfectly normal.

You're not doing anything wrong right now and therefore you have nothing to be ashamed of forty years from now when some pious little shit comes after you for whatever outrage is fashionable in the year 2057.

But you do change with the times.

I've long organized my behavior so as to prevent the opportunity for false accusations against my character. I really didn't do this consciously, it was just a measured reaction to events around me.

Billy Graham and Mike Pence put these practices in words and therefore deserve the credit for them.

It's all good advice and I encourage you to do the same.

Let me be clear, if you ever thought that grabbing women in a sexual way who did not want this was okay, you should be fucking ashamed of yourself.

That's not okay nor will it ever be okay, nor was it ever okay. Stupid fuckers who have no respect for other people just convinced themselves it was.

You mean men?

Closed door meetings- for example between executives on sensitive topics- is common. If women aren’t allowed to participate in such meetings then you’re you’re basically creating a boys-only club in the workplace. How about just not being a pig who views women as little more than a collection of holes for your tiny underserved penis?

I left my office door open every day but occasionally the managers would turn up and close it. At my farewell dinner, one female colleague remarked how nervous I would get when that happened but she failed to explain that she was often bearing seriously bad tidings that had to be kept confidential as long as possible.

I was usually so wired up at work that sexual thoughts were fleeting and not entertained. In addition, I was lucky to work with women who were reasonable and never looked to be offended by what I said when things got stressful. In Atlantic Canada, in general, you still have to be a complete jackass to get into this sort of trouble. The few I know who did deserved it. Basic good manners will still keep you safe here.

Wouldn't that be Weinstein effect? Didn't he start the avalanche of scum?

xerxes xerxes:
A History of Matt Lauer Behaving Badly

BeaverFever BeaverFever:
Well he’s fessed up and unlike some of the other cases, Lauers behaviour was an open secret well known amongst NBC staff for years.

ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog:
Interesting how when so called Liberals commit these acts,

All this happened because Hilary lost.

Did you notice all these 'sexual harassment' have been lingering for years and years,
and only comes out now ?
Because any time it tried to come out, it immediately goes back to Bill Clinton.

And Hillary.
And her support for him.

So it has all been buried, for Weinstein and Lauer, for decades.
Since Hillary lost, there is no need to keep it hidden anymore.

And we aren't done yet. Not by a long shot.

The swamp. It drains.

So... you're just completely dismissing all the republicans who have similarly covered up sexual assaults? Is that also the Clinton's fault?

Of course not, don't be silly.

The phenomena is because Hillary lost.

How is it possible that all these allegations have been buried for so long ?

Think about it, if Hillary had won, do you think all these things would have come out,
and how embarrassing it would be for Hillary ?

With the Republicans, did Trump sexually harass women ? Probably, he is an asshole.
People voted for him because he is an asshole.

But when the Democrats trotted out the women, it looked sooooooo political,
it was dismissed by the people as a non issue.

Same with Moore.

If the women had come out just before Trump decided to run, it may have done something.
But you see, that also goes back to Hillary, and Trump wasn't seen as a threat back then. So they didn't.
The women came out when Trump was becoming a threat.
The women came out when Moore defeated Luther Strange, and now will take the Senate seat.

The people who want to vote for Moore won't be swayed with the obvious political BS.
People against would find another reason to not support him. ANY other reason.
That's why it gets no traction, it's too damn obvious.

Because we live in a society where accusers aren't believed, are blamed for being assaulted, are made to feel guilty for ruining someone's reputation, and often fired from their jobs because they came forward.

I don't think you're wrong, but they could also be coming out because they don't want a sexual assaulter as president and think people ought to know. It's definitely political, because politics is a shit show of throwing crap at other candidates instead of running on merit.

It's okay, you can just say you'd rather have someone who sexually assaults a 14 year old as a senator than a democrat. At least be honest with yourself.

All your points are moot because Trump won the election.

Republicans weren't the only ones who voted for Trump.
Tens of millions of ordinary people voted for Trump.

At least be honest, you didn't like the result.
Especially now because so many left wing heroes are being outed for the real scum they are.

Because Trump won, and Hildebeast lost.
