Some of you guys are downright scary. Freedom isn't meant to be easy, it's precisely why it is so cherished.
Due process, rule of law, individual rights thrown out the window and in place is arbitrary, subjectively defined and accepted cleansing. Support of this is offensive and a smack in the face to those who risk their lives for our freedoms.

I'm curious, what do you expect Canada or the US to do about it?

Tricks Tricks: I'm curious, what do you expect Canada or the US to do about it? Nothing we can do. People forget the due process, rule of law and individual human rights for the victims of these drug cartels. Double standards.

It's not a double standard to assume that everyone is innocent until proven guilty, and than everyone has a right to a fair trial by a jury of their peers. Some people don't like that the commitment of a crime must first be proven in court before punishment is meted out. That means that there also means there must be victims of that crime, before the trial and punishment can commence.

It's what differentiates the civilized from savages. Why on Earth would you endorse tactics which violates Human Rights shared by most of the world?

He's like Santa, knows who's been good or bad, doesn't need no stinking courts and due process. What he doesn't realize is the hellhole we would create if we adopted that standard here. If we don't have due process, who exactly gets to decide who the hit squads will take out next? Muslims, I would guess, and lefty progtards, and pc justice warriors and so forth. Or maybe he just thinks that we should retain due process in Canada, but not the Phillipines. Because we're better than they are.

This is a war and it's been raging for far too long. Duterte is a pretty rough guy but he's doing something effective to clean up his country.

One day he'll murder the last criminal and then there will be no more crime Oh and Morals be damned, "effective" is all that matters. In case anyone is keeping score, in batshit land, subsidized health insurance = "brutal tyrany" but death squads = "effective clean up".

That'll fix the problem.

It's not "shiposting" to point out the obvious that drug dealing can't be "fixed" any more than any other criime can be "fixed". Especially not in a country where poverty os so rampant and a handful of oligarchs like duarte hoard the nations wealth for themselves.
What is "shiposting" is the sudden pretense that drugs are such an urgent and pressing problem that such extreme meadow are needed, and also that the president personally hiring secret death squads completely outside of the law is a reasonable and normal activity.
