Wonder what the political reprocussions would be if a party or co-op of parties put forward a motion to ban parties who either outright support separation or have very strong ties to separatist groups.

It obviously would be aimed at eliminating one current party, and preventing all future groups. However, Quebecers on their own, nevermind the propaganda of the PQ, would likely see that as an attack on the party that is built to represent Quebec.

Possible workaround; could all federal funding to parties who endorse or are affiliated with separatist groups be cut? Thus leaving the Bloc unable to fund itself and silly little adventures like this?

There's that streak of tolerance into play again.

Quebec is part of Canada. Quebeckers are Canadian. We have our differences and I've been on the side of pointing out those differences in the past.
This stuff isn't helping anyone. I'd rather look at the things that bring us together.

Without Quebec Canada would lose it's soul, it's history and it's heritage.

Plus it would take a lot longer to drive to NFLD.
