Well if you ever go there you better know french because they literally run the place and have been developing the mines there and exploring for years,they even have poutine.

French is spoken allmost everywhere in Nunavut.

Catch the griping from the people who live there? They want food, fuel, health care and JOBS. Not a one is interested in living off what the wife can whore working a Navy base.
