Actually there is a solid basis for this. from time to time I ride down to the windfarm on Lake Erie and not once have I failed to see a shithawk reduced to a shower of feathers in those huge cuisine-arts. Dump-chickens are not one of my fabvourite critters.

I wonder if that number really is 30000, but even if it is, it is absolutely despicable that the premier of the province is trying to say that just because more birds are killed by another means that 500 more bird deaths due to landing in a lake of concentrated death is no big deal.

That 500 birds died in a matter of days after landing on one of many tailings ponds is a wake-up call to the public who are utterly complacent about these enormous pools of crap just sitting out in the open. What's it goign to take to clean them up? Will they be able to clean them up at all?

You can't just say 30000 > 500 and pretend that it justifies our own, permanent Exxon Valdez.

OKay...so I think this is a great common sense move by the tories. My only issue with it is the Tories should have taken the opportunity of ammending the Age of Consent to bring anal sex (18) in comformity to 16.

Having 2 separate ages and one that unfairly targets gay males is descriminatory in my opinion.

And after the Tory crime bill, passed yesterday, its presently:

Vaginal Sex - 16
Anal Sex - 18

The Tories should have taken this bill as a chance to conform both vaginal an anal sex to 16 years old.

Although Anal Sex can take place in both heterosexual and homosexual relations, it overwhelmingly targets gay males, and is therefore discriminatory in my opinion.

Thats the only complaint I have with the bill...
