Let's ignore the race baiting. This is a case of two thugs committing first degree murder of an individual. It should be treated exactly as that. I didn't like the race baiting of the Zimmerman case and I don't like it here.

We are in a colour blind justice system, lets act that way.

ummm, it's 3 thugs. :)

Wow, the amount of racism here...just wow.

Since when is noting the race of the suspects considered racist?

Are we still that primative that we can't discuss colour without someone yelling "racist"?

I heard an interview with an author the other day. She was black, and African. She was in a store, and went to pay for the item. The clerk asked if she remembered which sales girl of the two helped her.

She said she didn't remember her name. So the clerk asked 'the brunette?'. No, no they were both brunette. "The one in the red shirt?" No, they were both wearing red shirts. The one in the dark pants? "No, they both had dark pants". She was teasing the salesperson, because there was an easy way to tell one from the other.

One salesperson was white, and the other black. But the sales clerk was being so colour sensitive to the black woman, she didn't want to use the word.

Political correctness is a cancer on society when we can't even say the obvious for fear of offending. Like she doesn't know she's black!

We see that all the time where I work. Basically we are the asian guy, the tall guy, the short guy, curly hair, and beard.

Wait a second, you are saying that the Asian guy isn't the short guy? 8O

Agreed there were 3 of the pukes involved, but only 2 have been charged with murder, the 3rd as an accessory.

$1:
Chancey Luna, 16, and James Edwards, 15, were charged with first-degree murder; Michael Dewayne Jones, 17, has been named as accessory to the crime.

If they killed out of boredom then need need to be put down....they have no redeeming qualities. Why should society waste the time attempting to rehabilitate them? Funny how some would deny racism so readily, and attribute automatically in other cases. Seems they're they're the ones with race issues.

News reports are now claiming it was part of a gang initiation.....you gots to kill you a cracker before you is made.

90% of white ppl are nasty. #HATE THEM.
A tweet from one of the turds......yup not racist at all. Someone keep an eye on Jeff and make sure they help getting him out of the knot he's going to end up in, trying to explain how Zimmerman was a racist but these guys weren't.

Your Execution-Homicide comment is a contridiction in terms. A State Sanctioned Execution cannot be a Homicide.

But it is, homicide is the killing of one human being by another, what it can't be is murder which is the unlawful killing, with malice aforethought, of another human or manslaughter which is the unlawful killing of a human being without malice aforethought.

They put 'homicide' on the death certificates.

Some states have gotten all sensitive about what they're doing, now that they've been exposed, and don't put 'homicide' anymore...but use some PC sanitised expression instead.

But homicide is still surely is...just like they put/used to put on the death certificates.

'Mass murder' some people are saying it will be in California when that state execution-homicides the 700+ inmates on death row there soon.

Got a shiny new death chamber, and renovated gas chamber.

Statistics show that it's highly likely that some of those inmates are in fact innocent.

Which is why I am against the death sentence unless there is overwhelming (ie. DNA) evidence.

I wish!

Sorry, brother, but your comment just tells me how little you know of California. At the current time there's not even ONE death row inmate in California who's up for a realistic execution date anytime before 2016.

I go one step further. I don't want 'overwhelming' evidence, I want absolute evidence that someone did the crime before they are executed.

There should be no reasonable doubt whatsoever.

Otherwise give them life without parole.

Right now we have people on death row based wholly on crappy circumstantial evidence backed by political agendas.

The Scott Peterson case is the most egregious of these cases where a man has been sent to death row because hordes of screaming women outside the court room demanded that he be lynched.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Peterson

I don't wish to retry the case here but the fact of the matter is that he told the police the absolute truth about his whereabouts when his wife went missing and they didn't believe him. Then when his wife's body washed up where he said he had been the cops turned around and hung him with the same words they had earlier dismissed as bold-faced lies.

The guy was a sh*tty husband and a rotten human being, no doubt. But he got railroaded and the prosecution and the judge suppressed and hid evidence that would've excluded Peterson and I expect he'll walk on appeal.
