Actually if I were to nominate one man who can run Iran Iran into the ground and supress and subordinate its nationhood and open it up to attack it would be Adadinajad.
He has done more damage to his country than any "anti-Iranian" could ever do. The Israli's have more of a concern than we do.
I just don't think nukes in his hands would be a good thing, the Russians even agree on that. I don't often agree with the Russians, except on the way they handle pirates.

Iran hasn't been run into the ground. It's better off than it's been in decades. Bush did Ahmadinejad a huge favour by knocking off Iraq and putting the majority Shi'ites back on top there.
But again, to reach this conclusion would require facts, history and context. And the propaganda experts know that if you're going to brainwash people, three things you don't want to get into are facts, history and context.

You do have a good point there Iraq and Iran weren't exactly friends. They have hated each others guts for a decades. In the Iran-Iraq War. We Americans were cheering on Iraq Particularly when they were holding our diplomats hostage. Then the gulf war I started and that changed, by the way I do agree with a number of folks that George Bush lied like hell with the Iraq War. He should have hit Afganistan harder. That's were the terrorists were (when they weren't skulking in Pakistan).

Indeed, His government treats his people like hell although in the Iranian government he doesn't have a lot to say. It's the Supreme Leader amd the council of Experts and the Iranian Revolutionary Guards that running the show. I think we can also agree that George Bush was and is a moron.

If 9-11 didn't happen George Bush would NEVER have been re-elected as President. John Kerry would have clobbered him Like Ronald Reagan clobbered Jimmy Carter.

Amadinejad is just a puppet, the country is run by the mullahs. One reason he goes on his rants is to please the radical faction. Nukes in Iran wouldn't be good thing, but it's inevitable - any nation that has a chance to get them is going to. That genie popped out of the bottle a long time ago - 65 years to be exact.

I'm sure they have passed the bomb building stage, now they need the small-size-put-it-in-a-warhead technology.
Other countries in the ME are now clamouring for nuclear power, that will only increase the amounts of interesting materials floating around.
Someday, sometime, somewhere.... boom.

Actually people who believe in reincarnation would not want to blow up the planet, since they want one to come back to. It's all the pie in the sky religions (you know who you are) that are willing to blow up the place. Heck, some Christian groups positively salivate at the coming apocalypse, when they can finally really outdo the Jones's (and the Fishbeins and the Mustafas).

You have a good point there Bart. Perhaps I've listening to too many liberals. John Kerry does look like an extra in a Woody Allen movie.
