Gunnair... what century are you delusionally living in? this guy bows to no-one..
no-one!

I feel confident that if Gilles Duceppe strolled into the room with his usual haughty facade, his ass would be suitably kissed by you.

No go have another glass of iced tea in the corner.

Naw ...Squirmet would be bending over if Ducepption came into the room.

Tradition and Canada's British heritage seems to be quite disposable these days.

And again you prove that you have no loyalty as a Canadian. You'd sooner see it destroyed.

Well we did the same with the Natives and the French so why not? :roll:

I still think JJ's cartoon "If America's head of state was like Canada's" really hit the nail on the head.

Well to use some other poster's styles, to ascribe the importance of British traditions within Canada.

Natives= fail
French= Major Fail
British+1764= Major Win

That's patently false. From specific education curricula inclusion to legislation to charter enshrinement, to financial investments, Native and French heritage has been actively protected for years now.

While true and I have no problems with it...
...traditions DO disappear over time.

You just need to look at traditions that families here had 20-50-100 years ago that are no more.
The Monarchy will disappear eventually... in Australia, Canada, probably even in the UK.

Getting rid of the monarch is political suicide in Canada. Try to change the constitution and EVERY single interest group in Canada is going to use all their political connections to get something thrown in for them. Not to mention each province would want to change something as well.

Don't get rid of the monarchy. That is a major difference between Canada and the US. You don't want to look like us do you?

I am a supporter of the monarchy, after how badly one man (Bush) was able to fuck up the most powerful nation in the world I never want to see a president in Canada. I wouldn't mind being able to elect our PM's though
