Toro Toro: I'm really glad my high school didn't allow any homos come speak to us. If they did, he might have convinced me to like guys and I might be a gay today.
Because sexuality is spread through word of mouth. That's how nature works.

hwacker hwacker: ziggy ziggy: Would you rather someone come in and tell them it's wrong and they should be persecuted for something they have no control over? no control ? this lecture was to address the whole school ? don't tell me everybody in the school was gay. if this guy wants to speak to only the gay students i'm sure that would fly but when you have everybody there and preach about how they HAVE TO ACCEPT the lifestyle then you cross the line. Actually no. He would be there to tell them that they don't have the right to harass or to make students feel bad for having homosexual tendencies. And that's the truth. They don't have the right to do that. No line crossed. They might not have to personally like or accept homosexuality, but they are not allowed to turn that non-acceptance into someone else's misery.

Not to mention that schools are there to prepare students for life in the real world, and in the real Canadian world, homo-bashing is called harassment, and it will get you fired from any job in no time at all.

Exactly, if there are laws in place for this why have some guy from the states to lecture about it. Do they have lectures on beating on your wife or armed robbery? This is not a school issue. If you don't want religion in schools the Liberal religion of acceptance should be banned as well. Why do you feel your point of view is held by everybody ?

Well you better get over your homophobia because it's here to stay, the ultimate irony would be if your kid grew up gay. What would you do then?

That school should be a place free of hate, bullying, cruelty, discrimination etc...? Well, even though I would love everyone to hold that view, I must sadly concur that life is full of fuckers who want to make the world miserable for everyone who dares speak up for the weak.

See you call them "fuckers" i call them buddy. You better get use to other people’s opinions, you seem to have a myopic view on what the world should look like. Oh and enjoy the CPC victory next week, I’m sure you’re going to vote for them I’m out for tonight………

you cant be turned gay lol . I think its more so kids who are gay dont feel they have to hide it. and also so people who are not gay learn tolerance of those who are.
