Blue_Nose Blue_Nose: TattoodGirl TattoodGirl: what you cant entertain yourselves for an hour in the dark? Not only that, they can't form an opinion they didn't read from "small dead animals".
While Kate is EXACTLY on the ball wrt this stupidity, I made up my mind to have everything in the house flashed up when I first heard about this moron magnet idea of sitting in the dark for an hour a couple weeks ago.
If a bunch of idiots want to sit around in the dark so they can have that warm fuzzy "I am helping the planet" feeling, more power to em.
Have them give me a call when they are willing to make an actual sacrifice for thier so called beliefs. Until then? They, and you, can go fuck themselves.

Benoit Benoit: Brenda Brenda: Actually, it is a choice everybody is free to make or not at any time of the year, and not only en masse. But when the power breaks down for all the neighborhood, we have an opportunity to get to know our neighbors.
You see this as a practise for a power outage?
This is Canada (even I know )... Poweroutages are common

snookums snookums: I did turn off everything in my house for 2h15 hours (started around 7h30). If that makes me a moron, as Wullu is implying, well I'm a happy relaxed moron and very proud of it! No TV, no radio, just reading by the fireplace was AWESOME! So much so that we decided to try to do that every Saturday night! Hurray for the morons Time to turn the computer off again - after checking the hockey scores
Ya, this moron is going to shut things down soon and enjoy a fireplace at a good friends tonite as well.
we will probably keep everything off all night. its nice to chill out this way, hell it is why most go camping.
I love being a moron!!! at least im not an angry little man, who just gets off on insulting others

It is not my fault, when I was a baby-boy learning to be clean, my mother refused to accept my sh*t as a gift.

I think you showed me that before...
So I assume you psycho-analysed me by now. And? Happy with the result?
