Khan is anxious to reduce the temperature here, hence the decision to release the pilot. By contrast, Modi is in pre-election mode and took the opportunity to shore up his sectarian credentials. Pakistan has at least been fortunate in its recent leaders, none of whom sought a confrontation with India.

It Sunday here....10:00 p.m time as I am writing this

Hoooooooaaaahhhhhhhhh....I am overwhelmed by the information I have seen/read...Don't know from where should I start? I think I want to make timeline how this whole event reached where it is now.

Do comment or ask if any question or do correct me just like Mr. Tricks did....Yes, he was right on that one instance. I did mistake there and got carried away. My apologies to all.

Now coming to this huge saga which was unexpected for both parties and for world as well.

Bear with me....here is the summary. I am trying my best to write accurate details...Some are rumors and not verified. But South Asia is right now talking about this and I am telling you exactly that.

----------

Tuesday 26 feb 2019 : Indian Air Force violated Line of Control. Pakistan Air Force immediately scrambled. Indian aircrafts gone back.

Indian aircrafts intruded from Muzafarabad sector. Facing timely and effective response from Pakistan Air Force released payload in haste while escaping which fell near Balakot. No casualties or damage.

What happened: IAF fighter jets in different formations approached Pakistani border...Our jets detected them and scrambled...Indians tried to confuse us...First of their information approached us in one sector, got PAF jet in front....the other formation approached us in different one, PAF jet stopped it BUT the probably larger formation which was coming towards Kashmir sector was ABLE to cross Pakistani border by some miles before getting pushed back...However they dropped their payload INTENTIONALLY in Pakistani territory before going back, damaging some trees in remote jungle.

Indians, as expected, started chest thumping...Yay, we have struck "terror camps" ..... on the other side, Pakistanis were reeling with anger because it was not just white lie (there were no bullshit terror camps, India is yet to provide single proof on it) but also our airspace was violated in this.

Initially Pakistan didn't retaliate...We analyzed situation. Then PM Khan says to Pakistanis:-

Be ready for any eventuality

Pak have decided to response to this act of war from indian side : Pak FM

DG ISPR of Pak army, Mr. Ghafoor said:-

"Today, the prime minister has asked everyone to get ready for every eventuality. We are all ready. Now it is time for India to wait for our response," he asserted.

"The response will come at a point and time of our choosing where our civil military leadership decides, and as a matter of fact, has decided," he added, reiterating the statement issued after the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting convened by Prime Minister Imran Khan.

"We have already exposed India and will do it again so the world knows what exactly India wants. "

"I said that we will surprise you. Wait for that surprise. I said that our response will be different. The response will come differently."

----------

Pakistani top military leadership was absolutely PISSED OFF....Their credibility was at stake....Pakistanis were asking tough questions...Why those Indian jets were not downed right away?

Then plan was made...Someone in our top leadership finally lost his...Trap was finalized. Indians were about to be shocked.

-----------

Next day, 27th feb: Indians started reporting this below news

As per top sources at least 03 PAF fighter jets entered this side of LOC at Bimber Gali Noushera sector of Rajouri and drop several Bombs in the area, on seeing IAF fighter neta approaching they ran back to their side of LOC...

Pakistani jets violate Indian air space and enter border areas of Nowshera sector in J&K's Rajouri district.

-----------

PAF STRIKES BACK

DG ISPR tweeted:-

In response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF crossed LOC. PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace. One of the aircraft fell inside AJ&K, inside Pakistan while other fell inside IOK (Indian occupied Kashmir). One Indian pilot arrested by troops on ground while two in the area.

Pilot can seeing coming down

Indian pilot got arrested...

This was the point where Indians got humbled, afraid and started shitting in their pants....This was the turning point. All chest thumping gone...PHEW

Their guy was in OUR custody...We could have used him as bargaining chip or could have tortured him. We remained professional and I am thankful to God and armed forces for that...We kept our cool and didn't misbehave with captured guy.

Now, PM Khan strikes..announces his release, no one was expecting this, and that too so early.....

Kashmir: captured Indian pilot, freed by Pakistan - BBC News

This was literally all that what happened...Things are cooling down now.

We showed to whole world our deadly execution of operations and when we prevailed, We showed mercy to enemy. We won militarily and morally as well. Enemy got humbled.

Will like to end on this:-

War is exciting but one should prefer peace - Don't know who said this but very very true.

But wait there is one more battle but on social media...Indians are claiming they shot Pakistani jet f-16, Pakistanis are asking for proof, which Indians have not yet provided and can't/won't provide as there is none....F-16s were used but came back safe and sound....PAF lost none of her jet. Indians just being Indians...

Will post more on this on other thread of mine: Pakistan/South Asia news

Meanwhile the pilot who shot down Indian jet
