Thanos Thanos:
Double credit? Awesome.

Toronto judges are giving triple time credit. Not to bad people, just gangstas, wife beaters, kiddy porn enthusiasts, etc.

Bless 'em.

EyeBrock EyeBrock:
It was a bit more than that Martin. The guy chased him down and shot him in the back multiple times. That's just wrong. He's lucky to get such a lenient sentence.

Fixed that for you!

I don't think I've heard anyone come out and say this guy's a hero, but I have heard lots of people saying they'd have no problem having him as a neighbour.

I'm more in shock that the thieves got off so lightly. Once he had obtained possession of his property he lost all rights, IMO, to fire his weapon. All he needed to do was go back and get the LP# of the truck and call the police.

Really? I'm not fond of stray bullets myself.

Remember we're talking a shoot gun with light bird shoot.

How close to you have to be to the end of that barrel for it to be considered a deadly weapon?

For some if they can legitimately say, "you'll shoot an eye out, you'll shoot an eye out", then it's to close.

I've seen the holes that bird shot puts in things. I'm pretty familiar with a 12 gauge SG.

Yup I'd feel great letting my kids out knowing one of my neighbors runs around shooting at things, with any projectile weapon made to hurt things.

Well the 50 to 75 people that regularly packed the courtroom at every hearing this guy had, would beg to differ with you on that. Hell some of them were parent of his kids friends, they didn't seem to have a problem letting them get together out at the farm.

One thing about vigilante justice, 3 bad guys and 3 arrests and 3 convictions. :P
