EyeBrock EyeBrock: It's a pain mate. I usually do a run to the NY border. Really, I have spent bloody hours digging up dandelions and now there's all sorts of weird green shit out-competing the grass.
It's all very silly as golf courses and hotels can still use weedkiller, just not us plebs.
I'm thinking that a lot of undecided voters will be cursing this law as they struggle with their lawns. I would not screw around with attempting to pull out weeds the danger of that sap is too much. Have dinner in the States and pick up some strong weed killer and discretely us it.

I'm thinking that a lot of undecided voters will be cursing this law as they struggle with their lawns. Given Dalton's track record, I find it hard to believe there are any undecided voters. I don't struggle with my lawn, but I struggle to keep my family within budget, given Dalton's tax increases. I've pretty much given up shopping in NW Ontario save for basic perishables. Winnipeg is only four hours away. We travel there once a month on average for the wife's beauty supplies, so we plan out what we will need for the month in regards to groceries and such. I'm even going to be servicing the van while I'm there. I'll never make a major purchase here again, unless the tax regime in Ontario becomes a little less obscene.

bootlegga bootlegga: EyeBrock EyeBrock: And the Ontario Liberals outlawed weed killer. So did the Alberta PCs, it's a trend these days. They banned Weed & Feed fertilizer, not the chemical. I can buy it in 5 gallon pails but my yards not big enough for that much.

I'm a bit of a camera guy and besides the two camera bodies, I've bought all my stuff in the US. I'd rather pay the taxes, shipping and still get it for 30-40% less than giving more of my tax dollars to the Ont government. I see that not only do we have the HST on things that were never taxed before, now we have an 'eco charge' (read an extra tax), on more items plus HST. We are being taxed to death in Ontario. And the waste, e-health etc, abounds.

Brenda Brenda: So because people are ignorant, we should ban? No, but how about the fact that it is not native to Canada, thus invasive.

Brenda Brenda: So because people are ignorant, we should ban? You have no problem with that approach when the topic is guns, why the change?

I have never said anything about a gun ban. Sorry Bart, wrong person. Then again, plants do not put bullets in anyones brain, do they... Kind of a cheap shot this, no matter how you turn and twist it.

Ohhhh, I could take this and run with it! Thanks for proving the people you wrote about in your post was, in fact, yourself. Societies often attempt to rid themselves of invasive plant and animal species but you turn it into a thinly vieled implication of racism. You are ignorant.
