I'm glad we took Layton's advice instead of waiting for Iggy to come up with something. Our credit card plans might go the way of the Liberal national childcare policy if we let them push the agenda.

mtbr mtbr:

right  Got any proof of that ?

What makes you think the Liberals would do any thing differently?

What mess in Alberta? Have you ever been there ?

The question is what proof do you have that the Liberals would screw this up? You don't, and any problems you have in Alberta are the result of your conservative government.

Vote Liberal and everything will be candy and roses. :D

Have you seen the Alberta Liberal party lately Derb, even you wouldn't vote for them.

I tend to not form an opinion on provincial politics other then my own for just this reason. Federal Liberals aren't provincial liberals and each province is different.

I do however find it incredibly hipocritical for the same alberta cons decrying the Libs as the federal "natural governing party" while holding that the Cons are the natural governing party of Alberta.

Not meant that they favor only that they will not piss there money lenders off with a package that might have cut there profits on the cards. Same as they will not really make the oil companies clean up there mess in Alberta . :(

Geeze, why didn't I think of that!!! *slaps his forehead* Now I see, it's all a big conspiracy. The Government is so closely tied to credit card companies that they won't do anything about it. Must be all those huge corporate political donations. Of course the fact that the government may not want to make too many hasty moves in the middle of recession when consumer spending extremely important to recovery and the fact that credit markets are a mess has nothing to do with it.

Oh and I have to agree, why is this damn Government in bed with the oil industry? We should just shut it down until they clean up their mess. God knows we don't need their money with the booming manufacturing sector out east.

I'm glad we let Harper rule over the worst deficits in almost 20 years. He deserves the blame there.

Well I don't think I would use the words natural ruling party, I think the only viable party might be a bit closer to the mark.

As you might know, Canada isn't exactly a free agent in the world market but we've definately faired far better than you're American brothers. Dion/Iggy and the coalition would have sold our future down the river by now.

Bootlegga might differ. To be honest its only been a few people (RR, mtbr, ryan, WMG) who crossed provincial boundaries and cheered for a party based entirely on their name. We Ontarians get loads of westerners like them cheering for the PCs based only on the fact they are "conservative".

Myself, the only time I commented on provincial politics is in QC because they are the ones who hold the referendum card.

BS. Hell your buddy Stemmner who hates everybody but Harper's CPC seems to view him as the only party capable of taking us into the CAN-US merger he so desperatly wants.

I have voted for a Provincial Liberal before, King Ralph was still at the helm.

I refused to cast a ballot for Heather Forsythe, the Liberal was named Cameron.

The problem with the new rules is any cost to the banks or credit card company will be passed on to the consumer. And is the case most times, the lower income earner will take a kicking because they can't pay the balance every month. The new rules don't do nothing really.

I knew she didn't have a chance but I figured if Forsythe had some competition she might piss off and not come back :P
