big secret coming... the Left / Democrat / Socialist / Liberal
tend to be favored by the lower/ working classes,
and those who think government should do everything for the people.

Big Secret... government represents the will of the people.

martin14 martin14:
If you took those people and raised them to the point where they started having money, they would realize that they did it in spite of the
government in power, and would vote for smaller government and less taxes,
and more responsibility to the people, cause people solve problems,
not governments.

No, they'd most likely vote for the people who helped them out of poverty through social programs etc. Psst... people=goverment.

martin14 martin14:
So, (a) the Left is intent on keeping people poor, cause if they
didnt, they would lose their power base.

Oooh... Conspiracy.

martin14 martin14:
A community used to take care of its own; disabled, unemployed,
homeless, whatever. An individual also has responsibilities TO the community.
to work, care for kids or old people, or whatever they could contribute.
That responsibility has been stripped away year by year by big government,
who people vote for so they can not care about others in the community.

You vote don't you? Communities used to take care of their own? Was this back before unions and socialism?

martin14 martin14:
the Left cares less about people than the Right does. Because this guy is in the hands of a government that doesnt care about him,
people around him dont care because well, the government is doing it...
right
So he ends up homeless, and all those 'bleeding hearts' will raise a
stink about it and criticize everyone but themselves for it,
but in reality when its time for this guy to come into their homes,
the lights are off.

And now he is dead brought to you by a government that doesnt care,
and a community that thinks they dont need to do anything anymore,
thanks to big government that does everything for the people.

Nice rant... but problem would best be solved if we all pitch in. Not just a few here and there. And that's the idea. When we all pull together as one, more can be done. It's easier to get $1 from 1000 people than to get $1000 from one person.

martin14 martin14:
Yup, maybe the lefties should off their lazy asses and
kick in something instead of 'more government'

Yup, maybe you should try to back up this claim that conservatives give more to charity than liberals instead of just stating it all the time.

Funny how this site went right back to hell after the pink notice went down.
Wait, no. It's not actually funny at all.

Where do you see the board went to hell? Simply because you do not agree with what he said? Is everyone on drugs today [huh]

The bitching by both Tattood and Shep back and forth.

When the pink notice was up, and I did that, I'd probably get a warning/week ban.

It didn't answer my question anyway. How does Liberal/Left-Wing policies make it
more possible for the handicapped to become homeless?

I don't remember seeing that in their mission statement.

So put that in ur pipe and smoke it from a while,
see what you come up with :)

That's a lot of tin foil. Not a single piece of substance in there.

Back it up with evidence.

And I don't think I'd trust any smokable substance you presented to me when
you babble stuff like this.

once all Canadians are taken care of, then I'm all for helping out others.

Once you come back to Canada and help out your fellow Canadians you dont have much to say.

I still pay Canadian taxes on property and investments, and contribute a few grand (plus food)a year to Harvest for Humanity and the Make a Wish Foundation, so I guess I'm entitled to say what I want and as often as I want to............you Canucks fan

I was going to call you an insufferable bitch, but I wanted to a word that was really able to convey a real derogatory message - including loose morality, low intelligence and questionable genetics.

Actually, the argument I often hear from conservatives when it comes to homeless people is, "We shouldn't have to pay because they made poor choices in their lives."

We did get warnings....and it was still the same when the pink banner was up. Nothing has changed around here.

You're gonna back that up with something? Hell I could just as easily say all the left wing people I talk to say we should pay a 75% tax rate.

"I hear it quite often" doesn't mean every conservative says it. Congratulations on being a sensible one.

It isn't Tricks (although his pleasure at Shep's post is regrettable).

Take a look at Shep's post. An obvious shot at a certain group which shall remain nameless.
