Axeman Axeman:
That's all I was asking. Like I said, it's not a defence, but a curiosity. I'd like to hear what the other side has to say. Is that something I should have to defend...wanting to hear both sides of a story before I draw conclusions?

Here's the other side of the story. The bully is on a power trip. That's all.

I don't want to respond in his name but I'm thinking the same way.
There must be something we don't know here. You don't hit someone for no reason.
OK, maybe it was because everyone else told the other girl to do it but.. i think it's a good question to ask: "WHY?"

Why NOT?

Several people have told their stories. Didn't you notice a common thread between them.... they were all victims, at least until they fought back.

Bullies don't need a reason, they just need someone "weaker" than they are.

I have not followed this story so I can't say...
I just understand the question of Axeman to know what actually happened.

Maybe. Maybe they're a bunch of random sickos. But that's counterintuitive to human nature. Few people do ANYTHING without a reason. Are you happy judging them before they've said their piece? I'd just like to hear the other side of the story. I guess that makes me the villain for wanting all the facts before holding the Salem Witch Trials.

Bullies don't get sympathy from me. Or the time of day.

Does anyone know WHY she's being bullied? I mean, they must have some reason, whether real or perceived, to be picking on her. Not that I'm defending these punks' actions in ANY WAY, but we haven't got the whole story here.

No, in the first article they said they just diddn't like her. In this article I think somebody said they did it because the bullied teen was really close to the bully's mom or something. Either way is nothing bunch a bunch of dumb skanks who need to get there ass's kicked and thrown in jail.

Wow. So many posts. Is it really too much to ask the accused to explain their actions before they're drawn and quartered? Wow, I'm dumbfounded. "No one ever expects the Spanish Inquisition."

If I knew where those kids lived, I would call up my friends and just buy a shitload of eggs and just fucking massacre there houses. See how they like it. Except there parents would be paying for there kids actions... but maybe they need to seeing how there parents are obviously letting them get away with this bullshit. After they learned they were punching and abusing this girl. I would have grounded them for a month. Yet they were out pretty soon and terrorizing her some more and I bet there parents diddn't even bat a eye of punishment for them.

If they were guys, I would have loved to just fucking kick every single one of there ass's right this second. I completly hate bullies. In grade school I was the nice kid, because of that I got targeted a lot and eventually learned by high-school to just don't take shit. High-school was a entire new beginning for me.

I am sure this kid will only survive this and be stronger by it and learn to just not take shit from now on and they won't see you as a easy target anymore.

As for these kids, hopefully the mother will get a restraining order against these teens so the next time they step on there property they can go to jail.

While at the same time confronting there parents and making them severly punish them due to threats she will make of sueing there daughters.

Either that or they just plain got to jail. Vandalizing property and fighting.

The reasons were given. You refused to believe them.

What more can anyone tell you?

The reasons were given? I must have missed that. Why did the accused say they bullied her?

One thing that ticks me off, and I know this was discussed in the original topic....

$1:
The school board reacted by removing Lindsay from West Credit and arranging a work co-op placement for her.

They need to start removing the bullies.

I think the instigator was removed.

The bullying started with taunts about the clothing she wore and escalated until she was attacked on a bus in January.

Well, if you believe this girl was victimized to this extent soley because of her wardrobe choice, then you're completely obtuse. That makes no sense.

Why is it so hard for you to understand what bullies do?

Unfortunately, 9 times out of 10 it is the victim that has to leave school. These acts should be treated more like criminal acts (which in fact they actually are) and the perp should be the ones removed from the school society, just as someone convicted of a crime is.

Some of the 'reasons' that the victim leaves is that the victim is often targetted or blamed by friends of the bully and the process continues. Sometimes it is done to give the victim a new start. However, that being said, the bully should be removed from the school regardless of the victim staying or leaving.

I've seen kids being bullied for speech impediments, parent's socio economic status, religion, political beliefs, being slightly darker, slightly lighter, being shoter, taller, skinnier, fatter, smarter and being dumber. It doesn't take much, even an innocuous comment or a difference in accent. Take Foghorn Leg......sorry I mean Bart for example. A friend of mine told me of similar circumstances when he moved from California to Arkansas. Even good kids can turn nasty when in a group. That's the way a group retains cohesion, us vs. them, even if the them is only 1 person.

A bully doesn't need a'reason' for picking a victim. But in all case there does exist a reason! An oxymoron for sure. I will explain.

If I 'bed' your girlfriend and you lay a severe beating on me, I well deserved it, good on you. If I only happen to smile and wave at your girlfriend and you lay a severe beating on me. That makes you a jerk and an asshole.

In the first case you were justified. In the second case in your mind you were justified.

If however you should decide that you don't like the way I dress, or the length of my hair, or something about my physical appearance or mannerisms, and decide to make my life a living-hell you still have a reason, and that reason was fomented deep within you pysche long before you ever laid eyes on me!
