If you can't prosecute you may as well persecute!!!
The only reason these a$$holes would be persecuted in good ole Vietnam is because they are criminals, and the only reason they fight to stay in Canada is $$$$$ and they get away with alot of crap that would get them locked up forever over there.

These pukes have been here for a long time, they were all friends in high school and later separated into 2 rival gangs, they've been shooting and killing each other for 5 years. The cops should give them all 10 minutes in a cell together and save the public the cost and worry.

1 of them is fighting deportation to Vietnam right now while also awaiting trial on a shootout in Chinatown, the others are at least only 2nd generation Canadians. We should deport their parents for harbouring gang members/criminals. If immigrant parents had to pay for their childrens behaviour I bet alot more of these guys would have been talked out of these gangs when they were kids.

Nex Nex:
If it were innocents killed I would feel bad, but as long as its gang members killing each other who cares, it helps deplete the surplus population.

Happy New Year.

It has come to light that 1 of the victims was innocent and was just trying to leave when he was gunned down.

Just saw this on the local news, turns out it was gang related, Vietnamese gangs. Just friggen great! I hate what the gangs have done to this city. Nice that Calgary has this news...not one day into a new year and already 4 murders!

I would not blame Asian gang violence on Calgary. The Asians who get into the gangs are in their own little world and they'll do this crap regardless of where they live.

We had problems with Asian gangs in Sacramento about 20 years ago and the police quietly had a policy of not prosecuting anyone who killed a gang member who was trying to commit a crime against them. When the word got out that it was open season on Asian gang bangers in Sacto they moved on and while we have a HUGE Asian population anymore we don't have gang problems.

Problem with this approach in Canada is we don't all bear arms, as opposed to USA soccer moms bringing their handguns to their kids games.
Don't get me wrong, I think this is a great approach to the problem, but they would have to arm too many people to accomplish it.

Well, then I wish you luck because these boys are typically armed with full automatic weapons and they have absolutely no qualms about using them.

"Remorseless" would accurately describe them.

Oh I'm not blaming the Asian violence on the city entirely. But when the law is so easy on the families who are so closed mouthed about what their children are mixed up in....that pisses me off to no end. What about starting to charge these people with obstruction of justice if it can be proven they are aware of these activities and don't come forward with what they know to the police.

I hear you, I love this city but it is getting scary.
My friend lives in tha appartments behind this strip mall and there has never been any trouble there before.
And then we get to listen to stories about known gang members that we cannot even deport back to Vietnam (for whatever reason).

If it were up to me, anyone proven to be in a gang would be shipped back to the shitholes they came frome and not allowed to return, along with their families.

I've lived in this city for 40 years, and I wouldn't dare go to a bar now on any night of the week. I grew up in Acadia not far from where this happened and I was shocked it happened there. But then these murderers of oppurtunity don't care where they do the deed. It's only a matter of time when a kid will get caught in the crossfire. Hell look at the student that was here from Brazil, now blind for life because of a gang shooting while he was innocently standing on a corner, sick.
