I get to vote and I live in Florida. I will be voting Conservative, and my vote will count in the far East...Nova Scotia. The Conservatives have bribed the Maritimers enough that I think they will go for the Conservatives in enough numbers to pick up quite a few seats there. PEI will go Lib again, they can't get away from the government dole mindset that alot of them have.
NS will go Conservative by a slim number and NB will be in the majority for the Conservatives too. Enough people in Quebec are upset with the BQ and will go Conservative for some strange reason. I don't know why though because the parties have a totally different philosophy.
BC will go Conservative in higher numbers and Alberta Sask and Manitoba are a lock.
only the province of Ont, PEI and Nfld will be the hold outs and we have a Conservative Majority albeit a slim one. :D

I agree with CanAM

I think that is precisely what is going to happen.

Dion is smoking the same bong that his supporters are smoking.

I love the comments left at the bottom. I know it's not scientific by any means but since this is the RED STAR you would think somebody could say something positive on his behalf and Green Shaft.

a large group of liberal voters (that allowed the liberals to be in power for 12 years) have already decided that they didn't want Paul Martin.

Do you really think these people want Dion?

Liberal minority for sure.

Seriously though I don't think either party has realistic plans on how to handle the economy right now. The conservatives have proven they can't. Rising fossil fuel and food prices are placing real hardships on Canadians. Canada’s overall competitiveness and productivity are suffering, costing Canadians jobs.

And I'm not really buying into Dion's strategies, they seem rash and ill informed.

not! conservative minority 135 to 140 seats.

and just how is the rising price of fuel and the failing Ontario economy the fault of the conservatives?

Dion will fix that by adding a tax to diesel

First thing of all, if the conservatives win with a minority, you won't see much change than what's happening now. Bills aren't getting passed because you have a conservative house of commons and a liberal senate.

And as for the price of fossil fuels, I find it confusing that Canada, being one of the largest producers of oil in the world, pay more for gas than the United States, who receives most of its oil from Canada?....how is that possible. Other oil producers such as Venezuela are paying much less for their gas.

And if you can read you would notice that I do not support Dion's carbon tax hike...both parties need to refine their policies if they want to earn votes.

Liberal senate? Do you know how the senatorial process works in Canada? I'll give you a hint, it isn't like the U.S.

Nothing will change so whats the point of an election...just so the" natural governing party of Canada" can give the people of Toronto some hope during desperate times.

The price of fuel is not the only thing Canadians pay more for. Haven't you ever noticed that every thing you buy in Canada is 20 % more than the US even though our dollar is basically at par. Considering the higher taxes on fuel it should not be a shocker to Canadians that are larger Canadian gallon costs a lot more than a small American one.

BTW Albertans pay the same price for gasoline as Californians do 8O

Maybe you would like to see anew NEP to fix the price of gasoline. Well if that's the case I would like to see a national pricing program on everything that's made and sold in Canada especially the cars manufactured in Ontario :P

Dion has found something to wage his electoral battle: "Canada has a prime minister who thinks that the United States is not only our ally, but also our model," Mr. Dion said, accusing Mr. Harper of "mirroring" U.S. President George W. Bush.

Dion is a moronic robot that can't be controlled. The Liberals are in an absolute mess and will not be able to put together enough of a cohesiveness to impress Canadians into not giving Harper a majority to see what he can do with a majority and a full term to do it with. 4 or 5 years of Conservative power will not destroy the country if you are a Liberal. You had 20 years to show your thing and it hurt us badly. Now lets give the conservatives a majority to see if we can repair the damage you Libs left behind. Then in 4 to 5 years we can make a decision then to keep or toss the Conservatives.
