Kudos to our diplomatic corps that facilitated this, but let's be honest, this is just the New World's longest hissy fit finally getting resolved. If American politics had any semblance of sanity, this would have been resolved shortly after the Berlin Wall fell.

My buddy and his wife went to Cuba a couple years ago and had a great time and their pics were fantastic.

Personally though, most of the Caribbean holds little draw for me - I'm not an alcoholic, I don't care to get a sunburn sitting on the beach and in most places, there is little historical sites to draw me (Cancun is the exception, with Chitzen Itza, Tikal and Copan not all that far away).
