When "Sarah Palin" was found hanging from a roof in LA some years ago, and "John McCain" was seen burning to death in the chimney of the same roof...officials etc called it "art" and "free speech".

When "Barack Obama" was later found hanging in a noose from a tree in university grounds in Kentucky...it was not called those things.

OnTheIce OnTheIce:
If 3 white boys murdered a black boy, it would be National news. (See Zimmerman). It would likely be labeled as a hate crime too.

It's just amusing to see the media cover similar stories with glaring omissions in details from one to the next.

This is national news. International, if you're reading about it Canada. Sheesh.

You're swapping cause for effect, which seems to be pretty standard for you. You're telling me it's because blacks commit crimes that they are followed,

It's called 'profiling' and it happens all the time. It happens because it is simply the way it is that blacks cause a disproportionate amount of crime - and it is to be noted that the vast majority of the crimes they commit are perpetrated against other black people.

And he'd never break any laws, right?

Have you ever gone into a mall and been shadowed because of your skin colour?
A major reason people turn to gangs and violence is because mainstream society expects them to be criminals and treats them as such nearly from birth. They want a place they can belong, deprive them of that feeling in legal ways and you leave them with illegal ways to get the feeling of belonging. This is an example of why suppression tactics actually help gangs recruit.

And at the same time using your reasoning of ignoring probable threats leads to idiocy like the stupid twit who went to Somalia and got raped for over a year because she was mentally incapable of concluding that Somalians are dangerous. This same git would experience the same result (and maybe worse) if she were to visit Detroit under the same circumstances.

This goes back to something I've said repeatedly to Canadians like yourself is that you don't understand some of these dynamics because you don't have to live with them.

It's different when you live here and observe that in my middle class neighborhood you're generally pretty safe walking around so long as you avoid the apartment complexes where the blacks live.

It's also an observable fact that most of the crime in my neighborhood comes from black people who live in the ghetto a few miles away. Likewise, in Stockton, California it's the Mexicans who are (literally) up in arms against black criminals killing people, robbing people, and raping women in their neighborhoods.

Not that I'm saying all black people are a problem. Not at all. Lots of them don't even rate a second glance because they're well dressed, not yelling the way ghetto blacks talk to each other, and they don't walk around with their eyes sizing up everything in sight.

These guys, however, rate a second glance especially if they're behind you at the ATM machine:

Image

And if they're behind you at the ATM and you decide to stand on your liberal attitude instead of doing the sensible thing and getting back into your car and burning rubber then you, just like the Canadian reporter in Somalia, deserve whatever happens next.

Seriously, your attitude on this topic echoes the sentiment of "Let them eat cake!"

You and a number of your countrymen expect that everyone else in the world should comport themselves as if they live in your tranquil little Elysium when the fact of the matter is that you have no damned clue what you're talking about.

You try walking through South Sacramento on Meadowview Road on a Friday night with your attitude and see what happens. Be sure to tell your attackers that you're a liberal Canadian and see what difference it'll make.

The Zimmerman case was racism, he followed a teen for no other reason than he was black.

Is it really racism for a neighbourhood watchman to follow a young black man in a neighbourhood that had recently had a rash of break-in's perpetrated by young black men?

Bit off topic I know, but so goddamn annoying to hear this stuff over and over again.

Look back to Caleb's post on the first page, all I did was accidentally single out Texas.

Well the solution is clear isn't it? Bring back Jim Crow. Keep the lesser races seperate from the White master race and all will be well.

Jeff is so paralyzed by political correctness he probably thinks it's racist to blame the December 7, 1941 attack at Pearl Harbor on the Japanese.

No, how about we just stop tolerating criminal behavior regardless of the race of the offender?

Black people get slack on drugs and violent crimes and white people get slack on stealing trillions on Wall Street so long as they look good in an Armani suit.

...

Funny thought just crossed my mind here:

Black guy steals $50 at a gas station and he goes to the Big House.

Image

White guy steals $50,000,000,000.00 from a natural gas company and he goes to the Big House.

So your solution is simply blame all the black guys because they're black and not because they have essentially been driven into ghettos because every time they leave them people follow them? How often do they commit those crimes compared to how often they happen to be in line because they need to withdraw a few bucks for something? You're using the cases that make the news to create an irrational fear. Then you are projecting your fear onto the black people you don't know, contributing to the reason that they feel they can't belong in society so they turn to their own. The vast majority of their violence occurs in the ghetto because they know it won't be reported and even if it is the police won't do much.

Ooooh, Obama smoking, scary, maybe he might get the munchies and make a terrifying crime filled rampage to the nearest Taco Bell. They tailed him because he was black, they didn't know if he had committed a crime, you are just looking for an excuse for it. I have never seen security tail a white person unless they actually have seen them acting suspicious. Profiling only works when you are looking for more than 'the black ones,' unjustly profiling people just tells them they will never fit into society because no matter where they go they are seen as black and therefore more likely to commit a crime.

How much of the crime is because they are black and how much is because they are treated as some low class thief that will never amount to anything and even if they somehow manage it unless they become famous will be treated like that low class thief by everyone that doesn't know them just because of their skin colour? Using "hey, that black guy is driving a nice car, better check up on it" only works when it doesn't result in the innocent guy being pulled over on a regular basis, telling him he does not belong.

So, you're saying that "feeling like you don't belong" excuses criminality? Or are you just saying that people should allow political correctness to overrule their instincts in possibly dangerous situations?

They would not be profiled if it were not for the fact that blacks are far more likely to commit crimes than anyone else.

I see. The criminals are just victims of society.

You do realize that this pathetic philosophy of yours has been over for 30+ years now, right?

Hey, if you're going to trot this crap out at least dress the part while you're doing it, eh?

Middle one doesn't look black to me. More like coffee.

Your pic went dead. Are you talking about this guy?

Image

I heard there was some sort of mix-up with the original pic showing all three as unmistakeably black. That guy in the pic above was the driver.

The other two look Afro-Yank, but here's the mother of the shooter.

Image

I'm getting all this from an Australian telling of the tale.

So you see that's where it got confusing, because this is the one that was going around originally.

There was a mix-up.
