That doesn't make a lick of sense. Then again it would be my mistake if I expected it to. Good thing I didn't.

I am reminded of this challenged kid in our home room class back in the 1960s. Just home room, he went to special classes where they taught them how to make broomsticks and wipe their bums or something like that...
anyways if any of the class douchebags razzed him he'd flop down on the floor, roll around and point at everyone else yelling "No, YOU are the crazy ones!"

Picking a few words out of a total insult and responding with 'so you're coming around to may way of thinking' reminds me of that kid. Maybe that's how Ritalin works.

Well in your case herb, I think that kid you grew up with may have been right.

But meanwhile back at the thread topic:

PA threatens to quit America - do you care?

$1:
So it’s come to this. The PA (Palestinian Authority) is upset with us…so upset that its leaders are threatening to cut ties with us here in the United States.

All that started soon after President Trump delivered on his promise to name Jerusalem the capital of Israel…to which we can only say Amen.

Come to think of it, this is actually the tenth time the Palestinian Arabs have made that threat…but who’s counting?

More to the point – who cares?

Is there a downside to this? I see nothing but good. Are we supposed to be afraid?

I think Freud talked about this; about people with a false sense of importance. He did not have the Palestinian Arabs specifically in mind.

That’s because there were no such people in his day, or any day. There is no such thing as a Palestinian people…other, perhaps, than language that appears in David Lean’s “Lawrence of Arabia”…of “a little people, a silly people, greedy, barbarous and cruel.”

Or think of the movie “The Mouse That Roared” to get some idea of silly people that plan an attack upon the United States only to get some attention.

Upon such delusions of grandeur Abbas operates and says he’s had enough. Then further threatens to cut Mike Pence down to size; won’t meet with him when he shows up, indeed incites his goons to riot at Pence’s arrival… and naturally this should have our vice president and our president shaking in their boots.

After all, Mahmoud Abbas has spoken, and when Abbas speaks people listen.

Palestinian Arabs have been hugged, pampered and nurtured for so long from the Europeans and the United Nations that it’s no wonder they believe that they actually count for something.
So we’re listening and what’s it supposed to mean? I guess, for us here in America, it means that our lives will never be the same without the PA at our side.

No more football…no more baseball…schools close, cars, trains and planes stop running and our stock market crashes and shuts down.

Truly, though, these Palestinian Arabs have been hugged, pampered and nurtured for so long from the Europeans and the United Nations that it’s no wonder they believe that they actually count for something…and no wonder they’re deluded with an exaggerated sense of self-esteem.

Ordinarily the real world does not give them a second thought, that is, until they make the only thing they know how to make…trouble. So they are also threatening to scuttle the Oslo peace process. Which one? You know, the one where the PA offers handsome payoffs to any Arab who murders any Israeli. Yes, that one. That peace process. But the times they are a-changing all right, starting with the Saudis.

With Iran (made richer and fatter thanks to Obama/Kerry) looming over the entire region, and posing a threat to the entire world, as Nikki Haley just pointed out -- who ya gonna call?

The Sunni states are calling on Israel, yes Israel.

You think only the Jews need a strong Israel? Think again. So do the Arabs…the ones who’ve finally come to their senses.

So too all of us in the United States. We likewise need Israel’s muscle and stability in the face of so much chaos in the region.

But now Abbas says that he does not want the United States mixing into his business. That’s a laugh because that is precisely what Trump has in mind.

Trump has wisely decided to let go…and to let the two sides figure it out for themselves.

As to my friends so miserable because Tillerson and the State Department are dragging on the embassy, I say relax. Trump did enough for one year.

He declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel. It does not get any bigger than that…and the symbolism of it is far greater than the bricks and mortar of an embassy.

As I wrote earlier: “One brick at a time.”

If I’m wrong about that, try this – the Palestinian Arabs will quiet down only after they finally realize that they are owed no share of Jerusalem and no part of Israel.

We now know where the Security Council stands on the issue:

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2017/ ... -jerusalem

Everyone out of step except our Nikki. Under the circumstances, her tweet was rather unfortunate:

$1:
The United States will not be told by any country where we can put our embassy.

I suspect many suggestions will be offered.

So the US is 'taking names' of who has been naughty and nice? Anyone who caves to that sort of pressure will be ridiculed.

I was out for a walk with a coworker who tells me Trump is threatening to cut all foreign aid to any country that votes in the UN to condemn the US for recognizing Jerusalem as the capitol city of Israel.

That'd be fuckin' awesome! [B-o]

Are you two talking about this?

Haley says U.S. will be ‘taking names’ as U.N. prepares for vote on embassy move in Israel

$1:
U.N. ambassador Nikki Haley warned Tuesday that the U.S. will be “taking names” when the U.N. General Assembly votes on a resolution calling on the Trump administration to withdraw its recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and its plan to move the U.S. embassy there.

Ms. Haley said on Twitter that the U.S. is continually asked at the U.N. to “do more & give more” for other countries.

“So, when we make a decision, at the will of the American ppl, abt where to locate OUR embassy, we don’t expect those we’ve helped to target us,” she tweeted. “On Thurs there’ll be a vote criticizing our choice. The US will be taking names.”

The U.S. vetoed a U.N. Security Council resolution Monday for the first time in six years when Ms. Haley voted against a resolution that would have blocked recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

“The fact that this veto is being done in defense of American sovereignty and in defense of America’s role in the Middle East peace process is not a source of embarrassment for us,” Ms. Haley said after the vote Monday. “It should be an embarrassment to the remainder of the Security Council.”

She added, “What we witnessed here today in the Security Council is an insult. It won’t be forgotten. It’s one more example of the @UN doing more harm than good in addressing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”

Go Nikki, is what I say.

Don't forget. Think about it long and hard.
Maybe she'll figure out America's the asshole. Probably already knows, but is too chickenshit to tell Trump.

The biggest reason the Muzzies have their panties in a knot over this isn't because it changes anything...and it doesn't....but because they claim all of Jerusalem and all of Israel as theirs and any recognition of Israel is objectionable to them.

The whole thing just underlines why there won't be any making peace with some of the Muslims.

US President Donald Trump has threatened to cut aid to countries that vote in favour of a draft UN resolution condemning the US decision to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Trump said at the White House on Wednesday the US would be "watching those votes" in the General Assembly.

"They take hundreds of millions of dollars and even billions of dollars, and then they vote against us. Well, we're watching those votes. Let them vote against us. We'll save a lot. We don't care," Reuters news agency quoted Trump as saying.

Needs to be set to music, like a Mel Brooks number. The MAGAs are so happy, that so many are going to die

More of an extortion ploy, like Michael Corleone did to that senator who woke up with a dead hooker. Or what the Russians are doing to Trump with the pee-pee video.
