What kind of bugs me is I had to sit through an advertisement to watch the video. Speculation about the cause of the disaster is one thing, directly cashing in on someone's misfortune is another thing all together.
Edit: Sorry its a YouTube link. My mistake.

Listening to these people and how they've lost absolutely everything just breaks your heart. Their sorrow and desperation is palpable.
Crews fighting to save Fort McMurray from rampaging flames water bombed the city Thursday to try to keep away a wildfire so intense it has spawned its own weather.
"It was creating its own high winds yesterday and even lightning was coming from the smoke clouds it created," Chad Morrison of Alberta Forestry told a briefing in Edmonton.
A forest fire that creates it's own lightning storm... what stops THAT cycle? No more fuel???

'Very rare' provincewide fire ban issued for Alberta Government also 'implores" people to limit use of ATVs and off-road vehicles
Seems a little late. Same in BC, we have the same conditions, haven't heard anything about a fire ban yet. Same with keeping the yahoos out of the forest on their stink machines. I'm not sure we need a province wide one, but the Prince George district absolutely needs one.

Karma land would be these C***s being publically shamed.
Dude, you have to stop digging through such low class liberal garbage, you're only going to make yourself angry.
Exactly. Just remember, for every one person online who's an asshole about this horrible situation, there's a hundred in the real world who helping the people of Fort MacMurry in any way they can.

No it doesn't. It was raining here a couple days ago. Warm but not hot since.

Seems to be where most of the fires are. It extends all the way to NWT and Alta. In fact one major fire is threatening to move into Alta.

Meanwhile there's thousands of Canadians out silently doing their best to help people save what's left, to help them escape the flames, and you know there's good people out there getting things in motion to help people recover and rebuild.
I got to remember to focus on the good people in this thing.
I guy I work with are on a course this week, and he saw on Facebook that a friend of his - who is unemployed and has been for months - loaded his truck up the other day with large fuel containers of gas and diesel, and filled up a small trailer with as much water and granola bars as he could get, and cruised highway 28 and 63 looking for people stranded to give the stuff to.
My friend and I were jealous that we didn't think of it first, and that we were suck on the course. And I'm sure we weren't the only ones. That's how we all roll around here.
Three friends that I know who still live there have got out, and I'm still waiting to hear from 2 more. All of them have been offered my spare rooms.

Or lower temperatures, higher humidity, or a great big long dump of rain.
