TattoodGirl TattoodGirl:
A question arose last night, as we were walking to GM Place to see a show, it was What will GM Place be called now?....

All I could come up with was something like "Taxpayers Bendover Place"...."What? you didnt see this coming Place"...."Granola Munchers Place"....

Anyone else got anything...we will need a new name.

Don't know anyone whoever called it GM Place. It was immediately pinned with "The Garage" or referred to by it's old name.

I call it the Garage...but the big ass sign outside doesnt say that...and on tics it doesnt say that...we will still need a new name because Garage is in reference to GM

Well, the people own a big chunk of GM, why not call it what it was before?

Or at least until they can sell it off to someone else.

Its always been GM Place...The Pacific Coliseum stills stands and is used on the PNE grounds. Its sponsored by GM...I am assuming now, but if GM truly goes under the Garage will lose that sponsorship and it will fall on the taxpayers here for the extra cost. Unless another corp steps in...well pharmaceutical have deep pockets, could name it after a fitting Heroin maintenance drug.

poquas poquas:
stemmer stemmer:
Is there a need for these personal attacks...???

It certainly appears to be! Asked a specific question and poof! You’re gone. You make a claim, no matter how ridiculous, and poof! You take a left turn and change the subject.

stemmer stemmer:
Again you're referencing an ad and not the SCCA rule book....!!!!! AND if the above was true...the suspensions remain factory STOCK....!!!!!!

What ad? IF? Don't start dancing now. Refer to the rules, specifically FIA Appendix J. They're posted for every year the race was run in the 60's and 70's.

You claimed stock. I claim you are wrong.

Sorry...you've proved nothing... You are referencing an "for sale ad" and NOT the SCCA rule book...!!!!!! For all we know that could be referring to the rules for SCCA vintage car racing which is now very popular....

Unlike today's NASCAR cars or LeMan's endurance racers these cars did not use tube frames and highend race car supensions....They were close to stock...

You're trolling now give it up and find a life....

And you again prove to me you're an idiot.

I don't have a clue what ad you're talking about, but I guess you desperately need something to hang onto to save face.
Ever heard of Mr. Shelby? It was one of his cars. #23 in 1967 (a MODIFIED Mustang). The link to the SCCA Trans Am race series rules are there as well. Pages and pages of PDF files for every year run. They’re not selling anything.
Look it up moron. I’m beginning to believe the Canadian Tire thing.

poquas poquas:
Stemmer will say absolutely anything to try and convince someone he has a clue about anything he says.

This is a quote about the Shelby “RACE CAR” used in the ’67 race.

$1:
These cars were to be raced in the year old SCCA A Sedan and Trans Am race series. The rules for these cars were based on the FIA Appendix J, which meant 4 place sedans with all the interior and glass intact, but with race motors and brakes and wheels and tires.

There is NO LINK in that statement...

stemmer stemmer:
It appears neither one of you know anything about the SCCA's Trans-Am road racing series of the 1960's....The only modifications were perhaps the addition of a rollbar and some racing tires...

... and the French Army conquered most of Europe once.
