certain neurological ailments seem to benfit from it. We have medical opiates, why not medical MJ? Some people who suffer from anxiety benefit from it as well as those on chemo who have lost their appetite and suffer from nausea.

$1:
"Decriminalizing marijuana will only lead to millions more Americans becoming addicted to drugs

Wow, so despite the data that consistently defeats this argument, he thinks Americans are so much more pathetically weak minded than everyone else that has relaxed their pot laws, that simple legal access to pot will lead to a major increase in all drug addiction.
He is right that simply decrimming it will likely increase the problems at the US/Mexico border, but full legalization if done correctly, will seriously reduce the problems associated with pot trafficking.

Medicinal marijuana alone, if legalized in the US, is estimated would rake in at least $10B/yr.
However, I don't see the Fed changing their mind as long as they still have their collective heads shoved up their asses and continue to list pot as being more dangerous than amphetamines, morphine and cocaine.

..if you resemble a twinkie, dorito or popcorn twist, it could be dangerous to be near a stoner.

I think animals developing a taste for naturally fermented fruit and grains came first...then some smart primates thought, 'How can we replicate this?' Soon after came the resultant brain damage, then came NASCAR and double wide trailers

Well shit, you're nobody unless you've got at least a double-wide.

Isn't Harper on the wrong side of this fence?

How do these things always come back on Harper. It's on Canada.

Because the Harperites are the ones moving in exactly the wrong direction on this issue. They're either ignorant, or they are trying to help organized crime to thrive.

The real WTF comes from why no patients want to make marijuana into a medication. A drug company should easily be able to turn it into an inhaler like for asthma medication, but noooooo

I think because a lot of them prefer to eat it. And why not just use a vaporizer instead of an inhaler?

Maybe because you can't carry a vaporizer with you, but mostly because putting it in an inhaler makes it a medication rather than a lifestyle.

Why can't you carry a vaporizer or a few cookies?

Where I live, alcohol is legal for people my age, so I drink it sparingly. Marijuana is legal as a persecution medication here. I am perfectly healthy, so I don't need to take any prescription medications, so no I don't use marijuana.

If you could name any other prescription medications that come in vaporizer or cookie form, then you might have a point.

So let the drug company do so and see if it sells. It may sell quite well, especially if it works well and get's less hassle from the cops. You can't blame users for not using a product that isn't available.

My understanding is that THC is the main active ingredient in medical marijuana, so an inhaler that delivers THC would still get you zonked. THC is available as a pill, but I don't think that's legal for medical dope.

I'd love it if more drug companies would do just that. Under current laws, I'm all for people with a legitimate medical need receiving marijuana, but how medical marijuana prescriptions are administered right now is a farce. Either treat it like a prescription drug or legalize it, but the status quo is ridiculous.

If other medications could be made at home safely in cookie form with no harm to anybody, would you support that instead of creating a market for gangsters to profit from? Or would you insist that corporations produce it in canisters?
