It says more about the people who voted for her than the NDP. There was a big stink in the Oakville (On) riding as the Lib candidates residency in Oakville was in question.

This chick hasn't even BEEN to her riding, ever.

Wow.

However, in four years she will be able to add ELECTED MP, 2011-2015 on her resume. Only one of us can claim that. It will be even richer if she wins again in 2015. She was elected as a protest. Perhaps people in Ottawa should take a look as to why.

Thanks. That's where I was confused. I thought that the candidate had to personally collect the sigs. [B-o]

No, but I did. I was told get 140 in case something like that happened.

NO thanks. Politicians have been pandering to Quebec long enough. I'm glad they chose NDP over Bloc but that's about it.

What party? The Major "King" Kong party? How was the experience, did you find it worthwhile?

Major Kong didn't have a political Party that was General Jack D. Ripper.

I was thinking more of Kong riding that atom bomb down - crash and burn.

Oh Westminster parlimentary system, how you amuse me  At least Hillary Clinton pretended to move to New York before running for senate in 2000.

I prefer our system over the US version. It just seems more local to me. Quebec has reverted to an old tradition. The Rotten Borough.

Okay, so what exactly do you want Ottawa to look at?

Quebec residents weren't happy with the Bloc? That's a good thing, I find. Their "protest" vote was against the Bloc Quebecois over anybody else.

http://canadianactionparty.ca/

I debated at the all candidates meetings, got over 100 votes. It was well worth the effort. I think there are a few of my speeches posted on this board... somewhere. My reason for running was to get back to the GATT and get NAFTA rescinded as it was going the way ACTA is now and Bank reform. I did quite well in the debates as well, held my own and that's saying something as everyone else except the independent and the Con candidate eventually held office. So they all had staff and talking points all laid out for them and no one know me or the CAP from a hole in the wall. I wanted to run also to see if it is possible that a citizen and former solider could and not just complain about the whole process. So in effect it was a learning experience to see 1st hand how it all works.

I wont run again though. No way to rescind NAFTA now and I already have a career in the Health industry that I really enjoy and feel it's making a difference. I would encourage anyone who is curious in the process to try toastmasters to get a handle on public speaking and then sign up with a cause you feel is just and see where it takes you. Canada is only as good as the people who stand for it.

Were you the one identified as the Port hardy pole dancer, north coast sculpin cleaner and self taught Wine Kitz sommelier who bowed out after revelations that he collected the names for his CAP registration from the William Head minimum security penitentiary after promising to bring in a back nine for the golf course?

Or was that a different Enus 'The Scape from New York' Campbell?
