I know... there weren't any as of the 2006 census. Kinda makes you wonder what the draw was. :?

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!

Doing what? I didn't think there was anything going on in Nunavut. Care to enlighten me?

Working on construction projects, oil rigs. I get a few calls to go up there. Tempting!

Huh... Only activity I'd heard of was the diamond mines and such. Even so, I didn't think that would attract Muslims.

They run outta Newfies?

Just a guess on my part, but I'm thinking they are more involved in the food industry.

Nothing wrong with the north.

I lived in northern BC for several years. Certainly enjoyed it. So laid-back! I was actually saddened by the fact that I had to move 'south' again. Sure can't beat the northern lights show. Almost every evening. In the winter we had Northern Lights parties. Big bonfire out in the yard. Hot drinks of choice. We'd all lie down around the fire, with our feet close to the flames and just watch and listen to them crackle.

I enjoy the north too, but that's a different north than we're used to. Well, me, anyway! I loved Whitehorse when I visited there, but decided I couldn't live there full time. It was a bit too laid back for me.

Where abouts were you, Yog?

Ft Nelson. In for 4 years-out for 2- back for 3 more. Just so much to see and do up there. Travelling the Alaska Hiway is like taking a trip through time. And I got to meet and become friends with a lot of the Old Timers who actually helped build the highway during the war. 200 miles north is the Liard Hotsprings. Always an enjoyable trip.

Nunavut is beyond north!

Inuvik is in the Northwest Territories, not Nunavut.

80 Muslims would make them about 2.2% of the population of Inuvik, which is somewhat close to the 2.5% of the Canadian population as a whole which Muslims make up.
