I don't think that's funny. I don't want them here either, but wank fests about blowing them up don't really help anything. Setting up refugee camps in Haida Gwai would tho.

Why set up anything for them? Just tell them to fuck off, they ain't welcome or allowed here. Last time I checked Canada was a sovereign nation. When the UN asswipes start paying our taxes, then they can start dictating what we can and cannot do in regards to illegals!

Even the Aussies don't do that. They give the migrants the choice - visit one of our fine refugee assistance areas while we process your claim, or feel free to sail away. In fact that's what this last bunch did. When Australia told the ship to head to an island with a refugee center, they decided to come to Canada instead. And of course, suckers that we are, we just welcomed them with open arms, even held umbrellas for them so the sun wouldn't scorch their delicate little heads - this for people coming from tropical climes.

I cross ocean, poor and broke.
Take bus, see employment folk.

Nice man treat me good in there.
Say I need to see welfare.

Welfare say, "You come no more, we send cash right to your door."

Welfare checks - they make you wealthy! Medicare - it keep you healthy!

By and by, I get plenty money.
Thanks to you, you Canadian dummy!

Write to friends in motherland.
Tell them "come fast as you can."

They come in turbans and Toyota trucks,
And buy big house with welfare bucks!

They come here, we live together.
More welfare checks, it gets better!

Fourteen families, they moving in,
But neighbor's patience wearing thin.
Finally, Canadian guy moves away.
Now I buy his house, then I say,

"Find more immigrants for house to rent."
And in the yard I put a tent.

Everything is very good,
And soon we own the neighborhood.

We have hobby, it's called breeding. Welfare pay for baby feeding.
Kids need dentist? Wives need pills? We get free! We got no bills!

Canadian crazy! They work all year, to keep the welfare running here.
We think Canada darn good place.

Too darn good for Canadian race!
If they no like us, they can scram. Got lots of room in Pakistan!

Freakinoldguy Freakinoldguy:
And here our politicians sit with their collective thumbs up their collective asses, spouting meaninless rhetoric.

For christ sake get some fucking testicles, go to the UN and publicly burn the 1967 UN Refugee Protocol that obliges us to give domicile and shelter to anyone who can reach our shore.

Then, give this newest illegal refugee ship an escort around Cape Horn, up the eastern seabord and into the Hudson River and have it dump it's cargo off at 760 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY and see how well that goes over with the petty potentates running the place.

Why Cape Horn? send 'em around Tierra Del Fuego, there is a really good chance all the problems will get sorted out long before they reach NYC.

I think the problem isn't the people comming but the people brining them, as long as these trafficers provide them with a means they will come.

As Brock has repeatedly pointed out, we get a boatload's worth every week, just that they come individually by plane. So as long as we have airline flights, they will come. And as long as we accept almost all of them, they will certainly come.

That airline fact I would really like to see some stats on. AFAIK its the airlines staff make sure the person has the required travel documents to travel to the country of destination. Most people require a visa to even visit.

I can't buy and board a plane to Canada if I don't have a visa. So its kinda dubious.

We have 20-30,000 refugee claimants coming from outside North America every year. How do you think they get here DD? They don't swim.

False passports, real passports with fake or bought visas etc.

Many 'refugees' who have no claim arrive here, destroy their papers and assume anothers identity and adopt a story that will get them through the IRB. It's all pretty standard stuff at YYZ.

Canada takes in 6 times as many refugees per capita as the US, but less than Sweden, Norway, Austria and Germany. In 2004 our acceptance of refugee claims was 40%. I believe Britain, say, is at 6%. (Somehow hard to get answers to these questions on google.)

The only info I could come up with is, its some of these are workers whose temp worker visa has run out, also that these figures vary hugely from place to place and also don't take into account the people who have been deported, caught, in the process of deportation etc etc.

And also that there are no actual offical numbers or reports that have been issued. So very hard to tell.

With someone who has a "not allowed to go anywhere" passport I find it quite hard to see such a huge number comming in through airports. Specially with a country with no real direct flights from the third world. This means stop overs in Europe are also checked.

Here's a few links. Statscan have a lot of gen but it's difficult to find stuff. The CBC did a recent acceptance rate by country which was quite interesting. The UNHCR have a reasonable site too.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. As Brock has pointed out, we get 20k+ refugees a year and they don't swim here. They use forged or real travel docs, then destroy them before landing in Canada. As soon as they land in Canada, all they have to say is "refugee" and they are assured of a multi year stay as their case drags on. Many just disappear and never show up at the hearings.

wiki has it's limits eh DD?

Try those links I just posted. No videos but they do have proven stats that were issued by Stats Canada.
