I haven't watched any of Michael Moores stuff, but his films seems to have postives reviews so I'm gonna watch Farhenheit 9/11 now and report back
Moore himself has said that he does not make documentaries so take his films with a grain of salt. While his first film,
Roger & Me, was pretty accurate and fair in it's skewering of General Motors, his subsequent films have been cut to advance an agenda. Like in
Bowling for Columbine there's a series of comments from different people that appear to be horridly insensitive to the victims of the shootings.
Except that those comments were all made
before the shootings took place. But when presented in the context of the film they appear to be made after the shootings.
When you watch his films and he presents 'speeches' by different people take care to note what clothes the speakers are wearing. You'll see that the clothes change from one scene to the next although it looks like you're seeing one speech. In reality he's cut and spliced multiple speeches in order to make someone appear to say what Moore wanted them to say.
In short, the man has long ago discredited himself as a propagandist who should not be confused with people who do legitimate documentaries and social commentary.
