I'd say most politicians are under sway from one group or another; unions, minority groups, and corporations. Very rare to find a politician who is working in the interest of Canada.

No doubt, but getting funds from a foreign government is far different than getting money from a corporation or union located here in Canada.

Not really, many minority groups in in Canada receive lots of funding from other countries. Egypt has a program where they pay for Imams to come to Canada and spread their hate... er religion. It doesn't really matter who is giving the money politicians shouldn't be under anyone's control but the voting population.

As for duel citizenship. Get rid of the damn thing and revamp the immigration system.
