Brenda Brenda:
That is RIDICULOUS Benn! If you have that kind of family history, you should be tested every year since you're 25 years old. Are they out of their freaking minds???

"Cannot be seen on this matter anymore"??? WTF??? Seriously???

Sadly that is what the lab really did say. However now that she managed to find her own way into the cancer centre I doubt they can refuse the orders of one of their doctors. For the doctor she saw, well he and two other docs run the only true public walk in clinic in town (others are walk in clinic members only) and on top of working ER shifts the three docs there see 40,000 people a year. So they simply can't afford follow through cases, or so they say. Still does not excuse him for not asking for further tests like the cancer centre said should have been done.

This is what we get for paying the highest taxes in the country

I'm happy with my rural BC healthcare! 8O

I went for a papsmear and a mammo in the past month, and my doc called me to make an appt after the mammo (which scared me to death of course, especially when usually, for non-urgent things like a check up, you get an appt 2 weeks later, and I was booked for the same day :?), but she only wanted to discuss my mammo (and in the same appt I asked about my pap...).
