Propaganda that just makes itself. Any nation that can vote for George Bush twice, and wants Obama to "keep his government hands off my medicare"... They seem determined to ride that hand basket all the way down.
Yeah, so bankrupt the country in the process of enacting healthcare reform.
They already sold out the Public with their special interest back room polictics with big business and unions.
The public wants protection for pre-existing conditions which as been stripped from the bill.
The power of the people spoke, and Messiah Obama does not like it..
Happy Inaugural Obama, hope you hear the people now, 1 year to the date later!!!

Yeah, so bankrupt the country in the process of enacting healthcare reform. Well, with this election, maybe not so much.
They already sold out the Public with their special interest polictics with big business and unions.
The public wants protection for pre-existing conditions which as been stripped from the bill. I understood that was in the bill that came out of the Senate?
The power of the people spoke, and Obama does not like it.. Not sure how electing a Republicon will further the quest for healthcare reform?
Happy Inaugural Obama, hope you hear the people now, 1 year to the date later!!!

Forces both sides to work out a fair Health Plan... not just one that is being pushed though quick with special interest being the winner and the people the loser.
Dems and Reps will have to compromise to find the best solution that works best for America and the people. (not just putting lipstick on a pig)
Personally, I think the U.S. should enact a VAT tax to pay for health care and make it 2 tier, like in the UK. (just my thoughts)

But didn't you hear? Taxes are communism. And besides, the GOP hasn't shown anything resembling the will to compromise on anything. Their whole agenda lately has been to act like petulant children and say no to everything.

I can't resist. I've gotta post it again.
Partly, because I love the music. Partly, because it just makes me smile.

Because the Democrats have actually shown any desire to compromise either? You're kidding, right? And remember, usually I wouldn't care...except some politician promised a bipartisan and open process to health care reform. That promise, which went along with the whole "Hope and Change" thing, wasn't kept.

Which he tried to do. Everything the GOP wanted Obama has given them. Public Option? Axed, among other things. Just like everything else, on health carethe Democrats have shown themselves to be the perpetual gutless worms they've been for over three decades.

Does anyone think it's a backlash, when Obama finally demonstrated he couldn't walk on water and then turn it into wine.

How is that possible? The Democrats have a simple message on health care that has still not really gotten through: If our bill passes, you never have to worry about getting, or losing, health insurance for the rest of your life. How is it that so few people have heard that message?
Because the so-called liberal media spent all it's time and attention dissecting every ratings-grabbing explosion of ideological diarrhea and pure venomous hatred towards Obama that FOX News, Limbaugh, Beck, and the Tea Baggers were capable of generating? And that they were deliberately ignoring the benefits that health reform would generate for the American public?

(just my thoughts) That would be great, but a VAT is as much of a struggle as reforming healthcare. I would love to see a two tier system (a fair and rational one) in the US, because then we could start discussing the same thing in Canada. As long as the insurance industry in the US has all the power tho, and with Harper's agenda of ending medicare, it's not a move I would support at the moment.

All parties should take make copies of Marthas campaign, or lack thereof, and file it in the "How to lose an election" department for future reference.
