Well I hope not or he'd get a D for a mark. I layed out specific criteria based on this type situation, traffic stop, official looking car and lights, uniforms, guns, and saying they are police. My primary point was that to defend this guy by saying he might not have known they were real cops is pretty lame. Most of all since it sounds like he should know a lot about real cops first hand. My secondary point being that to meet all these identifiers in a traffic stop is nearly unheard of.

link 4 offers no info other than to say he was charged with impersonation so does not meet what i asked for
link 4 is the same story as link 3, referencing it twice does not make if more valid.

So that's one case that meets all the identifiers the officers did in the topic in question. Even if you give me a few more once you contrast that with the amount of traffic stops across the country in a year you are nearing lottery winning averages of being taken by traffic stop like this one.

Well, I just gotta say, if you've already done a stint in the pokey for armed robbery and a cop says "hands up", putting yer hand in yer pocket isn't really the smartest thing to do.

Altho I agree with travior cuz you just don't know. I had an experience many moons ago about 10-15 miles outside of Windsor in a place called Russel Woods. A police car came up behind me and hit the lights and siren so I pulled over. As I'm looking thru my rearview I see some guy with a wifebeater shirt sitting in the front seat of the cruiser. When the cop asked for my licence and chit, I noticed he was a Windsor cop, or supposedly was. I said, "Nope, yer a little out of yer jurisdiction", put the car in gear and drove off. I dunno if he was a real cop or not, didn't care either. If he had continued to follow me, I would have just headed for the nearest OPP station 10 minutes away, or less if I felt I had to floor it
