Absolutally. You can have the best kit in the world, the best tactics in the world, and the best training all for the best soldier, but without logistics you are stuck in the mud. believe me I know this. In my trade the only time i've seen a shortage of logistics staff was brigade wide, and I didn't feel the hurt because we had support staff specifically allotted to us. maybe it's different for the infantry, engineers, etc. (This was in Suffield).

Personally I think there is alot that can be done by both the military and government to attract more members that they aren't doing currently, but I doubt voicing those opinions on a public webforum would do much for change.

I haven't got the time in to comment about the organiation of the place. Way above my paygrade and experiance level.

Would have been nice to have done my BMQ in an English part of Canada though.

Half assed isn't the word I was looking for. the CF has over 1200 T-LAVs, LAV-25s, LAV-IIIs, etc. If 70 percent of the fleet is down, is 20 vehiclesreally going to replace that gap?

€4.18 million per vehicle. So at 6-8 million per vehicle it is possible to fit 200 into the 4 billion without overstretching it, though based on our procurement process somehow I find this unlikely.

wonder how much commonality the 35 mm gun has with the 25mm compared to the 30mm. would be a shame to have to fully requalify all gunners to operate this new weapons system vs a simple conversion course.
