Don't confuse the Taliban with the mujahideen that the US sponsored in the Soviet-Afghanistan War. The Taliban grew out of the mujahideen when the US left Afghanistan to itself after the Soviets withdrew. There is a distinct historical difference there.

Don't confuse the Taliban with the mujahideen that the US sponsored in the Soviet-Afghanistan War. The Taliban grew out of the mujahideen when the US left Afghanistan to itself after the Soviets withdrew. There is a distinct historical difference there.

This is why I made a point in the other thread about flaming and personal attacks. I wanted to extend it to those posting lies and discredited "facts" like the one Donnie posted about the Taliban.
