I like the fire hose idea. That way you can clean them up in the spring with the rest of the dog shit that's frozen in the snow.

I really wonder what they hoped to achieve by bringing their own violence to a protest against violence.

Anarchists are not just Vandals, they're Idealists who use Protests to attempt to forment violence to bring down the Government and other Institutions they deem as evil. Personally I like the idea of making Masks and other Identity obscuring attire Illegal at Protests. Wouldn't be a perfect solution, but many of those Idiots would think twice before causing trouble.

You know the masking thing will never fly, they have a hard enough time getting muslim women to go to court without the thing on.

Don't be so sure. The mayor is thinking about banning masks in protestations to recognize the people. He said that some months ago.

"Video footage showed police firing tear-gas canisters into the crowd as people hurled rocks and bricks at stores."

Those stores must have been supporting police brutality to warrant that kind of attention.

Third. That would take the fire out of them being soaked through in winter.

The only way I see it effecting anything is when they arrest someone. They should throw an extra couple years to his sentance if he wears a mask.

Ya, that was in the back of my mind while posting it. One way or the other, these people need to be dealt with more seriously than they have been. They're not interested in the point being made by the Protests they attend. Their intention is simply to rile up a group of people to bring Institutions down. Completely worthless Individuals who think their Emo opinions are more important than the opinions of the Majority.

Folks, there's already a law against being masked; albeit, you can't be masked with the intent to commit an indictable offence, but it's on the books anyway.

S. 351(2) of the Criminal Code.

So, these folks that show up to protests with the intent of rioting or doing mischief (being hucking rocks through windows) are already committing an offence when they show up masked. I think it's reasonable to a jury that if some kid shows up at a protest, masked, with a knapsack full of rocks, that kid is committing an offence under S. 351(2) without ever having bombed out a rock.

Those protests are a bit ridiculous. They use violence in order to stop brutality abuse, or so they say. This does nothing to justify their cause, bunch of idiots.

Also, the local French Montreal media seems to be giving a bit too much importance to these types of events. And better yet, seems to be encouraging such events. The best thing would be to simply ignore them idiots, it's that simple. But then again, TVA which is pretty much a joke, feeds this kind of journalistic crap to Quebecers on a regular basis. Les ''vrais experts'' my ass, journalistic joke would be more appropriate.

Anyways, there should be no tolerance for such idiocy. This ends up costing the taxpayers. They should simply cancel events such as this.
