He should be allowed to speak his mind. I don't see any difference between Mark Steyn going before the CHRC and Ahenakew going before a court to face charges of inciting hatred.
It appears all the thought police in Canada have not changed his mind one whit. And I doubt that a jail term will either. Another failure for the morality police.
True. I'm repulsed by the idea of quasi-judicial thought police in the guise of Human Rights Commissions running around deciding what's acceptable thought/speech and what's not. Hate speech laws are a little more acceptable, because at least they're processed by real courts and police who are accountable, but only just.
The fact Ahenekew has been thoroughly discredited and reviled by all sectors of society shows the redundancy of hate speech laws.
