If they had gone and tried to help the young girl we probably would be reading about 3 young kids killed and no clues on what happened.

The more I think about this case the more I just want to impose my justice on the guy. I came up with this years ago while working in the jail.

Convicted of a sex crime by a court of law and sentenced to death. I take you up to a cliff about 50 feet high. Your butt naked and I hold you by your P. so your dangleing over the cliff. I then cut your P. off with a rusty knife and you'll fall over the cliff. I'll slowly walk down to where you fell, on some boulders preferably, and if your still alive I'll show mercy and put a gun to your head and blow your brains out.

Yep...I'm good with that penalty...

Were this sixty years ago the two boys would've likely been carrying the .22 caliber single shot rifles a lot of young boys carried back then. And they would have been able to match the force of a 30 year old man.

And what's really sad here is that if the perp gets caught the Canadian courts will have him back on the streets in as little as four or five years.

Edson is a small town, the kind where everyone knows everyone. People feel safe there, now they don't.

There are a lot of tents set up in the surrounding woods by people working in forestry who can't find anywhere else to live. If it were the small town I grew up in, I know people would be trying that sort of thing to flush this sicko out. Or other sickos that might also be undetected.

Unreal. I knew it was a bit rougher around that neck of the woods with all of the camps having been set up in the past few years, but this is unthinkable. I believe you're probably right - it most likely will be found that it's a local.

The young woman from todays assault got a really good look at the guy. Media released a fairly good description of the perv along with fairly descriptive clothing. I don't think it will be too long before he is caught. The RCMP is warning us 'good folks' not to go VIGILANTE! ( Ya might as well go fishin Bart)
As a rule, Edson is a pretty quiet town. The usual Friday night bar fights and stolen bikes kinda stuff. I think the last murder was over 5 years ago and then it involved people who knew each other/alcohol.
