Certaintly the hockey industry doesn't hold the same power as it once did. It essentially allows for other sports to be taught. But it still controls all forms of mass media ensuring hockey games are always broadcasted during primetime.
If he stayed in Canada, he would of certaintly had his teeth broken by fast traveling hockey pucks, and his feet welded to skates as to ensure hockey is the only sport he can play.
