Mr_Canada Mr_Canada: So... One country hates us.
So what are we now? the 3rd least hated country on Earth?
I understand this guy's pain though. A parent will walk up to an army with a pistol if they killed his beloved children. He doesn't have to be Muslim. He just has to be a sane, loving parent.
And that will be enough to make you want to kill everyone on earth.
So I don't blame him... It was our bad... Our apologies won't be enough... We fucked up. We broke the mind of a loving father.
Of course, I don't expect the troops he tries to kill to hesitate. They can blow his brains out dammit. But atleast understand why he's so pissed off.
It's got nothing to do with the religion.
NOTHING.
If a parent wouldn't want to kill the people who killed their children, I question their love and connection to their children, and even their sanity.
This is our problem. We Fucked Up.
Same with the Cab Driver. What a POS. I don't agree "WE" fucked up. "We" acted in a manner to potentially save Canadian lives in a war zone. Why didn't "He" instruct the cab driver. I do feel for the children and for him on the level he is a father. I agree as a country we should extend our condolences. I do not agree we should accept blame nor extend monetary compensation. Given the same situation again I would want that convoy to act exactly the same way again. Do NOT forget those are a Canadian parents "kids" over there!!!!!!!!!!

Shoving words and ideas in my mouth, eh? That's pretty goddamn low. Not once did I say we were WRONG in our actions. The troops did the right thing. But regardless, there was a fuck up. And regardless of how right were were, it doesn't make the death of these kids any less significant, god dammit! The deaths were a FUCK UP. Period! And no, money should not be given. It was a... Side effect to protection of our troops. The death was not necessarily intended as an act of war or murder, but simply as protection. But deaths of innocents, no matter the situation is a fucking FUCK UP. These were your words "This is our problem. We Fucked Up" .

Not sure what youa re getting out of them, but you should stop trying to squeeze blood out of rocks. It IS our problem. We FUCKED UP. The problem being we killed two innocent people. That is a fact now and we can't run from that. That makes it our problem. The killing of innocents was a Fuck up. Don't read in between these lines, because I'm not writing mixed messages. What I say is what I say. Don't think, suggest or assume otherwise. Then I would suggest you read what I said again. I do NOT agree we "fucked up" nor that it is our "Problem" . We acted towards the situation at hand. The taxi driver "fucked up" . The father failed to instruct the taxi driver accordingly, he "fucked up". I am SAYING I do not agree with you. That isn't putting words in YOUR mouth.

As long as they keep the poppy farms productive its all good game.
Let's put it this way, if a foreign invader came to Canada to "liberate" us, and we resisted, and one day somehow some way your children had been killed, your greatest treasures, your legacies, you'd be mad too. I know some would be mad enough to think of suicide, but you know what suicide in that part of the world is.....

Let me put forth a scenario. I live close to an air force base with armed guards standing at it gates. A G8 summit is underway. Officials from all over the world are landing there. I approach the guards at the gates. They tell me to stop. I continue anyway knowing I may be shot. They shoot and kill me. My family is damn mad they did this. I only wanted to know who had landed so far. Who's fault is this? Should the Canadian government, hence the people of Canada pay restitution to my family because my motives were innocent?

What did Afghanistan do to Canada?
Afghanistan got slammed by the U.S. initially after the 9/11 attacks. Eye for an eye basically...All this occupation and advancement of military troops is just a step towards larger things (which is a topic of its self). Canada's involvement is just a token to the U.S. Empire which Canada is still dependent upon..
Although that is an entirely unrelated scenario..........The guards had a right to be there..And what is it that you were holding that would cause them to shoot, instead of apprehending you ? Lawyers would be all over that. Canada would pay big time..

You're taking your children home after school in a car. As you make the final turn on your street, armed soldiers start yelling in a foreign language you have no idea what it means. They are waving their arms, you slowly proceed to drive, they shoot and kill your kids. Thats a more related scenario. The emotion of revenge. You'd be damned right to feel hateful and vengeful.

$1: You're taking your children home after school in a car. As you make the final turn on your street, armed soldiers start yelling in a foreign language you have no idea what it means. The hand signs to stop or the huge campaign to inform everyone to stay away from the convoys or you could be killed didn't make any impression on you. After all you're not a suicide bomber so it doesn't apply to you. They are waving their arms, you slowly proceed to drive, they shoot. Your kids end up being killed.
Thats a more related scenario. There. Fixed. Our troops did not fuck up. Innocence was proven after the ROE was implemented and the car fired on. It is the height of idiocy to demand guilt before self protection measures can be implemented in a VBIED environment such as they are in. $1: ...Canada still should be liable for the deaths of the Innocent Miss this in the article? I think it's safe to say that we are: Graham Thomson, Canwest News Service Graham Thomson, Canwest News Service: Canadian officials say they have talked to Muhammed and offered him their condolences. They have also started the process of deciding whether to pay compensation which, in past accidental killings, has ranged from $2,000 to $9,000.

As, but not everyone has a TV and or radio there. So many peasant, rural villagers who know nothing. $1: Canadian officials say they have talked to Muhammed and offered him their condolences. Nice, maybe he can start his own poppy plantation. I heard it lucrative business exporting it to the Uzbeks and Russians for processing.

Canad's liability may be paid more with blood than money...It's all unfortunate, but tha's just the way it is..

CommanderSock CommanderSock: As, but not everyone has a TV and or radio there. So many peasant, rural villagers who know nothing. Nor a newspaper or a poster or the warning signs on the convoy vehicles? Never came up in a topic of conversation with the other taxi drivers? Didn't hear nothing about it in the 3 years this has been in effect? Stop grasping at straws. $1: Nice, maybe he can start his own poppy plantation. I heard it lucrative business exporting it to the Uzbeks and Russians for processing. Ahh, the tired "I got nothing so I'll throw out anything" response.
