You just can't please everybody. Over the past decade we have gotten some of the best kit available for the troopies. There are several processes to give feedback about unsatisfactory equipment. A corporal going directly to the media isn't one of them and will probably result in a mini shit storm for him, his boss, his bosses boss....

Why don't you deal with the topic at hand, rather than fixate on you're interpretation of my opinion.

You force it. On every other thread you cry, whine, bitch, complain and simply resort to outright lies about the Liberals in your never ending hatred spew fest.

In short your motives and opinions are biased beyond any reasonable expectation that you are giving an honest account.

Any soldier complaining about anything during the Liberal tenure was held to the highest righteous standard and his word taken as absolute truth and absolute proof of Liberal military hatred.

Complaints about the Iltis jeeps or any vehicle for that matter were laid directly at the feet of the Liberals as a consequence of their anti-military attitude and you led the way in almosty every attack.

Now a soldier comes forwward and has a complaint about the equipment, equipment that may mean him living and dying and because its the CPC in charge you attack him, all safely back in BC I might add.

Pathetic and whats worse is you know it, you just can't admit to it.

Your hypocracy is the topic at hand rather then a soldiers legit compaint.

The big issue here and i sure what he meant is that we as a military do not have the funding to equip each and evryone of our soldiers with brand new kit....such as holsters and flak vests....and tactical vests. Overtime these recycled items tend to wear and do not fit/work as originally intended. Boots are a tough topic because 90% of troops get along fine with what they are issued from the supply system, those require special boots can always get them form fitted.

yes I am speaking from experience on these issues. The fact that this soldier did not go through the Chain of Command to get the kit he felt he should have in order to perform his duties does not give him the right to complain to the media.


I was once given a bullet proof vest that was form fitted to someone else's body while not the perfect fit it provided the protection I required to get the job done.

No one mentioned any Party that was responsible for equipment until you decided to join the conversation (on this thread). If you keep doing pre-emptive strikes in a desperate attempt to protect the LPC than you are confirming what everyone already knows...they are in deep deep shit and the NDP will be the next Loyal opposition. So please give it a rest and contribute something useful instead of making everything political.

Can't they get some money back if they want to by some Danners or other high priced boots? Most folks just made do, bought their own or made it work.
To be honest, I'm sure the Quebec media was in this guys face to get any sorts of problems. The war isn't popular there and I'm guessing they wanted some material to support their agenda.

Thats the point. When the Liberals were in charge things like this were blamed on them. In fact why don't you respond as such concerning normalguy complaining about the lack of air mobility being blamed on the Liberals despite the Chinooks being sold by the PCs and the Griffons rejected for such use by the military.

Any thread concerning Afghanistan cannot be unpolitical almost by definition as the entire mission has wide reaching political considerations.

As always though whenever the complaints are directed at the CPC then suddenly its either a non-issue or political opportunism or some such thing. If your party can't stand the same heat you forced the Liberals to endure then you wil find yourselves back on the bleachers.

You didn't say that when the Liberals where in charge. In fact they have been blamed for every single piece of equipment (even the ones they didn't purchase) that anybody felt was sub par and as usual when its your beloved CPC in charge suddenly the person complaining is the person who is wrong.
