Wow, an urban centre with 800,000 people and no murders. I had no idea Quebec City was so safe. The mayors of other major cities should look to this city and examine what they are doing right. Congrats QC!!

I wonder if there are openings for homicide detectives in Quebec City, that sounds like a cushy job.

That could be a cushy job however, one of the few downsides would have to be that when you finally did get a murder you had better bring your A-game since there would be one heck of a lot of eyes on you, your partner and all the proceedings of that investigation.

Great pace of work in a city like that but your payment would come in the horrendous level of scrutiny you'd get on the few cases you would have. A catch 22 really. I'd rather have ten or so murders a year in a city like that. It would keep the work steady but it would lighten the pressure somewhat since a murder wouldn't be viewed as a extremely rare occurence.

Quebec City is a pretty cool city.

No surprise there that it's safe.

In the exception of a few radical separatists, it's ok. There are few immigrants there. Mostly local Quebecers live in the city.

As for the best poutine, Arky, go to Ashton. Best poutine en ville

Ashton

Also, as Proculation indicated, in recent elections, the ridings in the region have voted ADQ and Conservatives. Therefore, it might not be as separatist as everyone seems to assume.

I went there for Christmas vacation. It's nice place to visit and has very nice touristic attractions. Chateau Frontenac, Citadelle, Quebec Parliament and so on. Also, there is a big outdoor show on New Years Eve in celebration for its 400th anniversary. There will be special events all throughout the year.

Also, best radio station in all the province of Quebec is Choix Radio X. They have more of a Federalist view on politics, unlike the rest of the biased QC media. That's what makes them the best, They Rock !!!

I dont think too many Quebecers move to Alberta... and like I say those from the east that do... do it because Alberta has few skilled labourers that could do the job so they had to import.... Cest la vie!

Yup we don't want to waste our skills at McDs and Tim Hortons so we import to fill those jobs.

vous aiment des fritures avec cette secousse ?

Quebecers couldn't handle the hard work that is required to keep a good job in Alberta.
