I will say this IF I am one of the ones to receive a $1000 check it is going to pay off a bill and pay down another one. IF I get a second check I am going to pay another bill off. IF I get a 3rd check... I don't know I'm thinking of giving the money to family members who might need it or to a couple of friends who might need it.

At this point I don't see me getting a check. I'm still employed. Yet if I do that's my plan at this point for the money. Things could change rapidly so who knows.

Use it all to buy about 200 multi-packs of toilet paper to build a giant play-fort with them your living room, and then hunker down inside (preferably with a handgun or two, and a case of beer) it until the worst is over. Might as well have some kind of fun while this is going on.

I'm good on TP for at least a month. Pluss who says I don't have a TP fort at work already set up.

I think I know what I will do IF I ever get a third check. Save it till the pandemic is over and then go to any mom and pop shop that opens back up and spend a little bit in each one.

Maybe even send some to my youngest niece and help her start her own fashion store. She is the one that recently was in Italy. She is devastated to see what is happening there. She keeps posting pictures of her time there.

My TP fort is also surrounded by a moat of hand sanitizer.

"Anyone not in a hazmat suit who approaches the fort will be fired upon!" - as per the previous mention of the handguns.

I wanted to put a hazmat suit in our shop window with a sign that said 9 days accident free but the partners didn't think that was funny.
Now I have the urge to go walk the dog and wear a plague mask...

And I'm convinced that within moments of an alien invasion, there will be conferences in Ottawa and Wahington to discuss lowering interest rates and massive business bailouts.

$1:
President Trump Invokes Wartime Law ‘The Defense Production Act’—Here’s What That Does

Topline: At Wednesday’s White House press briefing, President Trump said he would invoke the Defense Production Act of 1950 in response to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, which gives the federal government broad powers to enlist private companies to help with national crises.

The Defense Production Act of 1950, enacted at the outset of the Korean War, allows the federal government to compel companies through loans, loan guarantees, purchases and purchase commitments to prioritize and expedite development of supplies and resources to support national defense.
In this case, the Defense Production Act will be used to accelerate the development of medical masks, ventilators and other healthcare supplies as cases of the coronavirus tick up in the country, according to a count by Johns Hopkins University.

Trump compelling private businesses to produce goods for the public?

Conservatives suddenly cant get enough of that “job-killing Marxist-Leninist priog-comm socialism” that supposedly prolonged the Great Depression
They say there are no atheists in foxholes but I guess really there are no conservatives in major recessions

It isn't socialism if Trump does it.
It isn't a universal basic income if you send people a universal basic income.
It isn't socialism if you tell factories what you want them to produce.

Socialism is anything you don't like. When someone gets something and you don't because you don't need it.

Some of them are probably on YouTube, looking up Ben Shapiro or Jim Cramer videos confirming for them that hoarding, price gouging, profiteering, and a massive wave of housing foreclosures/evictions are exactly what's best for the economy right now. Personally I'm waiting for the editorial from the Wall Street Journal that basically says let them all die because keeping them alive is causing too much harm to the stock market.

This is the greatest stimulus ever, no other country has ever has a greater stimulus... and never will.
