Russia.

Senator Joseph McCarthy died on May 2, 1957. Modern day Russia was still the Soviet Union. Unless there is another McCarthy that I do not know about...

Russia was part of the USSR and the people who lived there were called Russians.

The Russian SFSR was a state of The USSR. In 1921 it became integrated into the Soviet Union. The people who lived in the Soviet Union were called Soviet.

This argument is akin to assuming a state like Washington is responsible for the actions of the Federal Government.

More of a case of getting lost in deliberately-mangled semantics, as well as another dodge claiming that Republicans are freedom-loving while Democrats only want to oppress & imprison. It's not just counter-factual it's counter-reality. McCarthy was a Republican, he was a right-wing extremist, and he ran his Senate committee with the exact same way Roland Freisler ran his court in Nazi Germany when he sent all the July 20th plotters off to be hanged with piano wire from wall-hooks. The only difference between McCarthy and Freisler was that American law prevented McCarthy from sending people to their deaths so he had to be content with "merely" destroying their careers or getting them temporarily imprisoned for contempt of Congress if they refused to testify. That the extremist far-left authoritarians did the exact same thing in the Soviet Union doesn't wipe out the reality that the extremist right-wing does the exact same thing in the places where they're in power.

This is just bullshit, and when Fiddy sets these shit-grenades off with his usual "but what about the Dems?" nonsense it just shows why almost everything he posts deserves the eye-roll emoji. Seriously, just own up and embrace your own psychos as part of your ideology instead of this endless duck-and-weave straw-manning nonsense of "no, they're actually on the other side!". It doesn't work because no one with any knowledge of reality doesn't know what you're trying to do.

Anyone notice the disconnect in all of this? This stupid kid claiming to be a victim of McCarthyism, when he wore a hat in support of a clod like Trump who wants reporters jailed, wants the slander and defamation laws rewritten so media can be sued into oblivion for reporting actual facts & truth, and calls the media & any comedians that make fun of him "enemies of the people", an epithet that's usually only used in actual tyrannies?

This is why MAGA-Hat Kid and his idiot friends will never be victims of anything in all of this. If they support Trump then they're no different than any other goofs in the street who make actual real tyranny possible by giving their support to monsters.

Absolutely!

All these adults keep trying to pretend they have been victimized by a child.

It is utterly disgusting watching the excuse train run ahead at full steam.

Except that isn't what I'm saying.

As you seem to be to be over-anxious to do lately, you're joining Beave in Wrongsville.

Specifically what I'm saying is McCarthyism as a concept was a creation of the Washington Post. True, they do currently happen to be Democrats but that's not necessary to make my point.

The allegation of hypocrisy against the Washington Post (the paper that created the concept of McCarthyism and is now guilty of it) was made specifically by the lawyer Lin Wood. He is defending a child of Republicans in this case but he has also defended Democrats. The claim is non-partisan.

Although I will stress that McCarthyism is another bullshit term created by Democrats much like "Trickle Down Economics" but that's more because it's just a plain fascinating bit of trivia.

I wouldn't feel sorry for a MAGA Kid anymore than I would for a Hitlerjugend or any other brainwashed twit in some Soviet youth league. Just the same junior bullies & bastards to the same older bullies & bastards.

And the hits just keep coming! [cheer]

$1:
Nicholas Sandmann, a Kentucky high-school student who was at the center of a viral confrontation with a Native American elder in Washington, D.C., has filed a defamation lawsuit against CNN, asking for $275 million in damages.

The poor fools who suffer from Magaphobia are going to make this kid RICH!!!

I can't think of a more just outcome than for them to have to finance this kid's college education and his upcoming purchase of a custom home shaped like a MAGA hat!
