Because I know history, this has happened before.
If they were private citizens, sure who cares ?
But Harry isn't.

You really think it matters that she’s 36?
And how come it bothers you that she’s divorced but it doesn’t bother you that Trump is TWICE divorced with kids from 3 different mothers?

What “history” do you know that you think will be relevant in the year 2018?

When it comes to children, 36 is 'pushing it'. There will be a call for children,
by the time that happens, she'll be almost 40.

Trump isn't a Royal. Standards are different. Like it or not, they are.
If you say they are not, then there is no need to keep the Monarchy.

'History' ?
That would require you to read. Difficult ask.

Standards change. The old paradigm of a young lady of noble birth one doesn't particularly like and lashens of crumpet on the side won't fly in the information age. Your own Daily Mail, for example, makes that way of life impossible for a married princeling. A royal wife has to be ready for the cameras and media intrusion 24/7. Talented commoners have their uses.

Who cares if she’s previously divorced? Both Charles and Andrew are divorced as is Charles’ new wife Camilla. Standards change. As long the new princess doesn’t become some do nothing bitch like any of tha Kardashian’s/Jenner’s, everything will be fine.

Yeah, it's not like he's marrying one of the creatures that appeared on Jersey Shore.

Funny how the Daily Torygraph suddenly became tolerant of wilful adultery - actually adultery planned before the marriage even happened which not too many commoners get up to - when Prince Chuckie was involved as opposed to the feckless lower orders it constantly lectures, and then went on to slavishly praise the mistress after she became the wife. Hypocrisy is too small a word. The lad in question may end up being head of a church and our country as well, if you can believe it.

Whatever. I have zero respect for any the British daily shit rags. All they care about is sleaze and dragging people through the mud as much as possible until they kill themselves or in the case of Diana, hounded until they are killed.

Yeah, I may have to rethink that one after Elizabeth dies.
The future doesn't look very good so far.

I don't see any real problems with the passing of, or abdication or retirement of Queen Elizabeth II, at 91 years of age the long-serving British monarch. Upon her death or whatever William and Kate, the current Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will more than likely succeed to the throne, bypassing Charles, who is the oldest and longest serving current Prince of Wales at 69 years old. If he became monarch at present he would be the oldest person to do so. There has been quite a bit of debate whether he will become King of England or not, he could easily succeed to the throne then abdicate to William who definitely enjoys a much healthier approval rating but nothing is set in stone. My thinking is that William and Kate would be excellent as serving monarchs.

Maybe.
Imagine training your whole life for one job, and then have it denied to
you at the last minute, because of your stupid ex-wife.

I know there will be a lot of pressure for Charles to not ascend, when he becomes King I think he will be deeply unpopular one.

The bigger problem I see is that William genuinely doesn't want the job of King; not a surprise, considering.
Kate and William get quietly criticized in the British press for 'not doing enough' in the public arena.
Meanwhile, the absolute media spectacle shitshow that will be the wedding of Harry will
also lead calls from the progressives for Harry to become King, thus reducing the Monarchy to a popularity contest circus sideshow.
So even if William and Kate become King and Queen, they will have to fight for the publicity with Harry and Megan.
A fight I believe they don't want.

Charles isn't wanted for the job.
William doesn't want the job.
That leaves George, who won't be ready for 20 years.
20 years of the PC/BLM/femnazi/single 30's and 40's women/ crowd to shout for Harry and Megan,
because they so progressive.

Not looking forward to that.

Note the above posts from the alt lefties who usually hate the Monarchy,
but now who are all onboard now because Harry is marrying an actress.
Just wait until Charles announces he will take the throne, then they will
get all angry again.

1) He’s #5 in line for the throne and it’s 2017, nobody gives a damn

2) Lots of people have kids after age 36 or even age 40, my wife and I did

3) Why assume they won’t have kids for another 4 or 5 years? People usually don’t wait that long

4). You’re right therre is no need to keep the monarchy. It’s a total waste of money.

5) re: wallis simpson: see #1

6) Your comments were that. YOU think she’s not a good catch, not that you worry she won’t be able to provide an heir to the throne.

I would have thought that being Catholic would be the biggest hurdle. Not a major one but probably the one the British public would react to most negatively towards. As for any of their children being elagabel for President, they only would be able IF they are born in the USA or in this case on US Military base in the UK. I don't think the royal family or British Gov. would allow such a thing.

They don't just issue out those double O licenses for fun, right? :D

There's theories the real power not the Royal family took care of Diana and Dodi because they were planning to get married and the last thing they would allow was a Muslim becoming step father to Britain's future King. Keeping the bloodline pure means everything to them and they will do anything to make sure it stays that way working against her, hell they're already planning the divorce.

She's Hot and looks like she's a lot of fun. Harry will never be King so he picked a wife for himself not the Britsh establishment and that pisses them off.
